| I finally finished Puzzle Quest, so I started a game of Doom 2016, which features a checkpoint only system, which is annoying as all fuck, as I am of the type that likes to quicksave often before doing questionably risky shit. I've been stuck at the beginning of the foundry because I keep trying to platform my clumsy ass around and keep falling into the lava. So annoying.
Also, my family is going to mini vacation at the end of the month, so I dusted off the ol' 3DS as my laptop went down the shitter (it was a pretty low end model anyway) so I might pick up a game to pass the time during downtime, likely during the evenings. I'll likely buy Bravely Default, but regardless of what I ick, I won't know exactly how to divvy up time between that game and Doom. I'm not looking forward to that sort of indecisiveness in the future. ____________________ ![]() |
I started playing The Outer Worlds recently, and since then a lot of people have inundated me with questions about how I like it, only to tell me that they got bored of it really quickly. Like, okay? Sorry 'bout it, but that's a reason I rarely buy games new. I paid <$30 for it and I'm having a great time. I have 21 hours in the game so I'd say that's a pretty good use of the money!
For reference, I use the movie comparison with video games. If I can buy a game and have fun for less than $8/hr then it's a pretty good price to pay, since that's about what it would cost to go see a movie.
