Hi there, I read a lot of manga, so I'm gonna recommend a lot of manga, feel free to recommend some if you also read manga.


Urami Koi, Koi, Urami Koi.


Urami Koi is primarily a battle manga with elements of romance and drama, it has a lot of yokai, lots cool fighting, some very well written dialogue and very good building of suspense. It also helps to have one of the better Tsundere characters I've read in quite a while.

It's very recommended if you want some good adventure, some good characterization, some good heart-tugging and some good fighting.






Sousou no Frieren


Sousou no Frieren is a fantasy manga about the titular character Frieren, the only elf in the hero party that defeated the demon king, instead of being about the actual adventure to defeat the demon king, Sousou no Frieren is about Frieren travelling the world after the party has split up, seeing how it changes, and coming to terms with her timespan being much longer than that of practically any living creature.

It's a mostly somber experience, that does go places later on and does have some adventure to it, but it is at it's finest when it contemplates how 10 years can be a lifetime for some, and yet an ephemeral moment for others.

Two very cute girls decide to (or accidentally manage to) dismantle the capitalist power structure of their school while also being absolutely in lesbians with each other.




Edit: Good thing to note, I am unsure if any of those got an official english release, but you can probably find ways to read them. If it's chill I'll probably edit this with links but I am edging on the more careful side of the issue for now.

Yurucamp / Laid-Back Camp



A chance encounter one evening at a lake near Mt. Fuji, between solo camper Rin, and Nadeshiko, who just moved to the area, sparks an interest in camping in the latter. Add in the two members of their school's outdoors club, more friends and relatives of them all, and you basically just have a bunch of girls going camping. This is not to disparage the series, quite the opposite: It's simply a relaxed, laid-back, or as fans might put it, "comfy" manga about camping and the outdoors as much as about getting to know each other, I'd say.

Ongoing and available officially in English from Yen Press, with 9 out of 10 volumes localized so far; an anime adaption aired in 2018 and is getting a second season in January 2021.


Slime Taoshite 300-nen, Shiranai Uchi ni Level MAX ni Nattemashita / I've Been Killing Slimes for 300 Years and Maxed Out My Level



Office worker Azusa literally works herself to death and is reincarnated in another world as a virtually immortal witch, wanting to live a stress-free life until the end of days, and only occasionally killing slimes to make a living. Doing that for 300 years, tho, ends with her acquiring considerable power, the news of which ends up spreading faster than she'd like. Not a battle manga as one might think from this description, but rather about trying to balance a quiet life, helping the town and its inhabitants and, eventually, taking care of your somewhat odd, newfound and growing family.

Based on a light novel, which is ongoing just like the manga, but I'm not sure how much they differ from each other. Both are available officially in English via Yen Press, with only a few volumes of the manga localized so far. Both are also available in German from a local publisher, which (for a change) is how I'm reading the manga. This also has an anime adaption slated for next year.

Dungeon Meshi / Delicious in Dungeon

This might be picking up and you might've seen it, but it's a cool fantasy adventure book, where a lot of focus goes into monster related physiology and cooking those monsters into delicious food. Goofy, lovable group, has an overarching plot and lovely art style.
