Jul - Post #2060 - 01-06-08 12:07:03am Heh, that's one of the few advantages of my situation. My mom knows I can help with that stuff, but lives like 3500km away. My dad never uses the damn things, and my stepmom doesn't trust me and/or prefers to stumble around with them herself. Still every now and then I have to figure out why my dad can't connect to Xbox Live, but that's about it.
They all have my email, but my mom is the only one who ever uses it, and not often. I doubt any of them know how to work any IM programs anyway. 
Granted, my mom isn't totally computer illiterate. She's been learning how to do things for herself.  And since I set it up with virus scanners and a limited user account and explained to her how they work and why not to use the admin account unless it's necessary, there haven't been any major problems.

My mother worked in IT up until last year. She's capable. I get the occasional silly question, but they are usually so silly they are easy to fix.
