I've been playing Zelda 1, and for the first time ever I'm close to beating it. My last save is in Dungeon 9, with all eight pieces of the Triforce, and I have the silver arrows, so now it's just a matter of finding Gannon. I think Dungeon 6 was the hardest one, and 7 was a nice reprieve after it. Eight was hard again, but that's probably as it should be. I also made things harder on myself by not getting the blue ring until after finishing the eighth dungeon.

I've also been playing EVE Online, and man... I think after 13 years I'm finally starting to get it: The game is just not fun.

been trying my hand at touhou again...

i'm always worried these days that if i pick up a game i'll get too busy to continue it for a while, so at least with something like shmups you can try a credit every day and only spend 20-30 minutes

i've been playing super mario sunshine a little bit. i actually started just before 3d all stars was announced lol, so i'm playing the gamecube version

it has its ups and downs. aesthetically it's like a 10/10, but i could do without blue coins or some of the more frustrating elements (its camera kinda sucks)

i think i mentioned this already, but i'm finally playing through Link's Awakening on switch. it's pretty good! mechanically it's closer to the original than Nintendo usually gets with these sort of remakes, and the level design doesn't feel dumbed down compared to the original. (if anything, the knight/horsehead puzzles in Face Shrine have been vastly improved) plus it's full of little charming and adorable things.

i have also been playing Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. it is a very pretty game, and there is something very fun about just driving around Vice City and causing all sorts of dumb and stupid problems for everybody while listening to 80s pop. but after a while the main quest starts to feel like a tedious series of chores rather than something to give you focus, and the writing is just gross. the random transphobia? gross, gross, gross, yuck. ken rosenberg coming up with excuses to get you declared innocent is kinda funny, tho, in a lionel hutz sorta way. i think i've hit my limit tho for how much i can tolerate, i don't know if i'm going to finish it

i'm still on my Super Mario Sunshine playthrough, although it's kind of stagnated a bit the past couple days. i'd like to get back to it soon.

i finally quit playing Civilization VI. i'm so fucking glad. i didn't give two shits about byzantium or gaul, they're so fucking boring, and i'm happy that they were boring because it meant i didn't get ensnared in this shitty skinnerbox assfest again. that game made me so fucking miserable after a point and i sunk way, way too many fucking hours into something that i actively hated and that was making me depressed. you'd rather play with goat turds. you'd rather let a buffalo take a diar

i'd loooove to play Petal Crash. sometime soon i'm gonna drop the money on it and give it a shot. i'm sure to suck at it (i'm terrible at most falling block games D:) but i'm pretty excited to try it cuz it looks beautiful and adorable and sweet and my frend's in it
