| Has anyone got the Super mario Mart Beta mkart.sfc or mkart_fix.sfc running on real hardware using a Super Wild Card DX2? I know the game needs the DSP1 chip and using a game that has it will work as a pass though on the wild card. I can get the rom to boot and select a racer and select a cup. It will crash when the track tries to display. I know the track is what uses the DSP. Emulators work fine. i have a snes super power pack flash cart, and it locks up trying to load the rom into memory. All other mario kart roms (except the beta roms) including the custom hacks i have been able to run with no problem with a legit Super mario kart 1992 USA Cart as the pass-through cart for its DSP. The only one that gives me an issue is the 2 betas. Perhaps the beta boards the game was supposed to run on have a beta version of the dsp. I have also tried Lock on USA cart that has a DSP1 and the Later release Super Mario kart that has the DSP1-b version. Neither of them work with the beta rom Does anyone know why the beta mario kart does not want to use the retail dsp chip? If so what hardware did you use to load it? |
