| I have too much going on so I'll just copypaste.
For commentary I'd say that I'd like to learn more about PSX hacking (ASM?) so I could try to get some work started on a PoPoLoCrois translation patch, possibly a Wild ARMs 2 retranslation. Apparently PoPoLo is a horsepile codewise but I'm pretty sure a disassembly would help tons rather than just editing the binaries. Maybe I'm wrong and being a dumb who knows. I'm playing most of the hacks without savestates, and I'm planning on restarting the ones I am using savestates on to not do so. VIP1, /v/orld (yes it's a 4ch hack, feel free to groan), JUMP, mice, Hyper and an Anikiti hack without savestates. What am I doing with myself. At least /v/orld can wait until it gets accepted into SMWC. The person running the collab is very good at letting bugs go through lul 2nd Impact is a friend's hack so it's private for now. So my kids were listening to my Pandora the other day, and a song from Super Mario 64 came on, and I thought, "Dang, I haven't played that game in years. And I bet they'd love it, too."
The thing is, I never actually owned a copy of SM64. I borrowed it from friends here and there, but never had my own copy. So I went out and grabbed on on eBay. Now, my wife thought I was crazy, because after playing modern games (like Mario Odyssey?) how could such an old game hold up.
Well, my friends, this is probably not news to you, but it most certainly does. I'm having a blast. Yeah, the game shows its age here and there (Camera!!), but oh man is it fun. Leave it to Nintendo to just nail it out of the park on their first try. This game is soooo much fun, which I knew already, but dang. Even 20 years later it's still great. And I was right, my kids (9 and 4) are super into it!
And since I have my N64 out, I've also been playing a good bit of Mario Party 3. That's a great game but I hadn't forgotten about that since I play it at least once a year. But I finally dusted off my 15 year old Story Mode save file, and am planning to finally finish that.

. I have yet to play Adventure mode. I'll try to see if I can get a B on every non-expert board. It's fun, and I still like it on its own way, but I can see why people complain about it, it's very much unlike DX+ (which is better than 2 in my opinion), and somehow it's lacking even MORE options. I wish the 2P mode from the Switch version was available on PC...
