Well, I am not sure about everywhere else, but in Australia, the after-Christmas sales are still going. After work I intend to go shopping (again) and pick up some more things.

Because I'm pretty broke, the after-Christmas sales give me a good opportunity to get some good deals on things. Mostly, clothes. I need a lot of work clothes—oh hell, clothes in general—and there's some nice prices at the moment.

Do any of you go shopping in the after-Christmas sales?

So far, I've bought a couple of work shirts, and a new bag to replace my old, tattered one. I had the previous bag for over three years and it really needed replacing.

What have you guys been buying in the sales?

Personally, I hate post-Christmas shopping. If I remember correctly, it's still a hell.

On the contrary, my mom sets out right away after Christmas. She'll tell me that she's going to "the store", and then say it'll be Target/FoodMaxx. We live within minutes of said stores, so the trip to, at, and back should be only like half an hour, right?

Well, 2+ hours later, my mom returns, with some food, clothes, Christmas decorations, and the like.

It's almost imanent that I'll go shopping after christmas. Ussually for anthing That I would need(Or if a christmas present required some other product for it to work.)Other things include would include games, clothes, food, etc.

Didn't seem too bad, other than the unfortunate fact Mass Effect is pretty much sold out around here and there doesn't seem to be signs of more coming either. I'd like to have it...

But yeah. 75% off on holiday candy, so I grabbed a little. Eggnog as well.

I got 50% off on most of the clothes I bought. I have no money again now, but I needed work clothes.

I now have several nice work shirts, so I'm all set for when work gets serious again next week.

Well, I have 9 work shirts, a pair of work slacks, and a pair of shorts. I also bought socks.

I'd like a hat, but I think I've spent enough money now.

I really hope you're not that easy to please.

I mean I figured you'd be in the mood of 'Diamonds, jewels, I want them all! And some accessories...would be nice...'.

What do you mean “that easy to please” ? I needed work clothes. I am very happy with my work shirts, slacks, socks, etc, too.

I'm confused.

I'm still confused though! What for you mean “easy to please” ? What's wrong with that?

I don't know why I put this here.
Still waffling on what to do with my Christmas money, heh.

Maybe I'll figure it out soon... maybe not. Walmart money is really hard to spend, ya'know. In California.

I bought Metroid Prime 3, and I'm still trying to find Guitar Hero III. I'm torn between GH3 and the Orange Box although technically I have the money for both. It depends on whether or not my brother buys a nunchuk for the Wii.

I've already spent enough money in the last year, this should really be going in the bank. But, whatever.

Eh, I have a pretty good idea of what to get, but since I still haven't gotten my permit, I can't really go anywhere to buy things often. Currently, a usb bluetooth thing, and MMZX Advent are definite, otherwise, I'm still thinking a bit, I've got the time.

I went out yesterday and blew through those gift cards I got. Guitar Hero 3, a Wiimote charging station (charges 2 controllers), 2 classic controllers, 2000 Wii points that I promised I'd give my brother a long time ago , a battery charger, and a partridge in a pear tree. Still a few things I haven't found yet/forgot.

I'm doing the best kind of post-christmas shopping - it's Macworld in a week :-D

I'm in the market for a new laptop, and Apple is expected to refresh it's portable range in a week. I might wait until March, however, to actually buy. I'm also saving for a used 500cc motorcycle

.. I'm more surprised that you're surprised by that. >> Also, if she manages to get her grocery shopping, clothes shopping, and 'random things' (Christmas decorations, etc.) shopping done in around two hours, I marvel at her speediness. :<

Most (not all, but most) women I know don't zip into a store and zip back out again, especially if there's a sale. Sales generally mean you have to sort through a bunch of stuff to find what you want, and some stores' sale sections (or whatever) really aren't that organized. >>

I never really 'enjoyed' shopping, until recently. I think I'm just too much of an indecisive person, so it always takes me a while to choose things, so a shopping 'expedition,' for me, is just that. An expedition. Part of that might also be because that's how my parents shop (they live about half an hour away from the nearest mall), and so that's what I'm used to. Whenever we went shopping it was always for anything we might possibly need within the next few weeks, driving all over the city to various stores and.. whatnot.

Now that I live really close (technically 'within') a small town, I can do my grocery shopping on one trip, and then drive to wherever for other stuff, and not have to spend all day shopping. It's much nicer. >>

As for after-Christmas sales.. I don't actually really need anything at the moment, so I'd rather not venture out into that ..scariness. :x I've been to a couple of bead stores, but those don't really count, because they don't seem to have after-Christmas sales. >> Beads stores are rather very much a personal vice though. I spend waaaaaaay too much money in those things. XD; .. And I could easily spend most of a day shopping in one of those. :x

.. I guess I did go to a bookstore and get a few things. I haven't been reading much lately, so I told myself I'd get a few good novels or whatever. .. So I did. *nod*

Edit: .. That's a lot of italics. XD

I'm going to buy a PS2 next week and... erm... do a little bit of modding on it.

Need some DVD-R's, too.
