This turned out to be rather simple (well, the walking bit, I can't wrap my head around how the jumping would work while still making it possible to jump from flat ground) so I did it. Here you go. It's.. an interesting experience.

Okay here's a few ideas for some NES graphic hacks...

1. Make mini versions of Axel, Blade and Adam from Streets of Rage and put 'em in Mighty Final Fight.

2. A City Connection hack called GTA: San Andreas, you're Carl Johnson in a Grove Street low rider painting the ground green representing Grove Street all over the world. And the Los Santos police chase you all around trying to stop you. And officer Tenpenny replaces the cat.

3. I'd love to see Pepe the Frog in these games.

That's all I got right now.

So, Starfox on SNES, but instead you play one of the other members of the crew.

The rub though is that on all routes this theory essentially plays out (basically, Fox starts hallucinating and flies off). Before that, the game's difficulty is bumped down because Fox is getting most of the share of enemies shot down. Immediately, or the 3rd level onwards, the game gets more difficult; your remaining teammates are more likely to need your help, and powerups happen less often.

(...and yes, you can still go to OOTD in all three 2nd levels)

BUT in this game, you play as Slippy, and ALL your teammates abandon the mission by hallucinating. Slippy's OOTD boots him back to the main map when completed so not only are you forced to solo Starfox with nary a powerup and a much harder game overall, you're doing it as Slippy.

If we're playing Slippy, I feel like we should get bonus bonus points for getting in Fox's way. We spend the whole level chasing down a single enemy, and then immediately get angry when Fox gets the kill instead.

In related news, it's awesome that you were able to do something like switching levels. I managed to do a mod where I swapped out the main crew for characters from Star Fox 2 (Fox to Saru/Miyu, Peppy to Lady, Falco to Star Wolf, Slippy to Pigma) and changed the blue to red in the Arwing's palette, but that's about as far as it got. I think I might have changed the dialogue with a hex editor, but I can't remember.

A Pokemon gen 1/2 hack where you start a new game inside Oak's lab, following the usual "are you a boy or a girl? what's your name?" etc. Once you leave the "lab" you see the sign telling you that it's actually a mental institution. :V

Some people have been discussing the idea of getting the original voice actress to redub Krystal's cut lines into Star Fox Adventures. But what would be even better is having Gilbert Gottfried do them.

I watched the Dinosaur version of that game's intro, and Krystal's voice actor seriously says 'SUCC', which in Dinosaur apparently means call.

So I propose essentially that we just redub Krystal's lines so that she only says 'SUCC'.

Actually considering General Scales also says 'SUCC' in that scene, have them both only say 'SUCC', throughout the entire game.

Fun fact, the dinosaur translation is bugged. Some letters don't show up sometimes. The game tries to save on texture memory by only loading the graphics for letters it actually needs in the current scene, but doesn't account for this translation.
