Basically something that can run Windows 98SE or ME...

Where would be a place to get some good deals on this? I'm not certain, eBay sells such machines for about £50-£60 and they usually have no hard drive, and I've not got any spare HDDs.

As long as it works, and has everything, I don't mind.

Likely not gonna do anything until I'm older but it'll be really sweet to have a computer from the early XP era.

That would be about the long and the short of it for buying online from what I've seen. The only other thing I can think of is if there's any Mom and Pop repair places with leftover systems of that era that you could call or people in the Classifieds wanting to get rid of old systems for little to nothing. Might be worth hitting up to see what you can find.

I can only speak from my experience over here, but flea markets might be worth checking out, maybe depending on their size and location, and especially if there's household liquidators as sellers (or however you'd call those kinda enterprises in English, who clear out households ex. if someone passed away, and trash or sell the items from it).

My Toshiba Tecra 8000 from a while back came from one of those sellers; it was just sitting there in its carrying bag with some accessories, along the usual cardboard boxes full of random stuff. I asked the people running the stall how much it was, expecting them to say something north of 20 Euro at the very least, but the reply was just 5 Euro - obviously, I didn't think twice.

Similar story was my PowerBook 3400c/200, although that was some 10 years ago and not from a liquidation seller, but possibly its original owner. It was just sitting there on a table with its power supply, I asked the guy at the stall for the price, expecting something insane because Apple, like 50 Euro and up, but it turned out to be just 10 Euro or something like that.

Again, just my experience over here in Germany, I have no idea how flea markets are elsewhere in the world.
