i was just in dalmatia where it was really warm and dry, i didn't find that so pleasant at all and it irritated my skin

now i'm back in the netherlands, overcast, a comfortable 16°C. i like moderate weather, although i hope to wear shorts again soon, i just got some nice shorts i'm excited to wear.

It's finally starting to get warmer around here, it's pretty much the end of May and it's finally starting to feel like Spring hehe xux

On the bright side, it might soon be consistently warm enough that I can start wearing my dress

it's been stormy over here

not as bad as the midwest has been so i'm counting my blessings, cuz, yikes. a tornado directly hit jefferson city which is alarmingly close to where i used to live

i like the rain though... it's nice but i wish it was more consistent

Tornados are terrifying, and not something I miss about MO. I'm glad we never got hit when I was a kid -- we definitely came close.
Eastern WA is incredibly hot, and the people I'm living with don't seem to believe in air conditioning. I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually, but for now it's sorta miserable.

the weather today is absolutely perfect. it's still morning, a nice thick layer of cloud is covering the sky and we have a nice, moderate 15°C with light breezes. these are the sort of spring mornings to die for, the sort where you sit in a terrace with a cup of coffee and reflect on life.

oh, god, right? i have literally a phobia about tornadoes — i, using this word sincerely, actually get triggered by tornado sirens (even when they're testing) and EAS tones and shit like that, to the point where peoples' cell phones have gone off with amber alerts i just jump and start shaking/sweating and my gf who didn't grow up in tornado alley is like "what's the big deal it's just an amber alert"

i was in arkansas when they had that super tuesday outbreak and i was in missouri when they had the fucking joplin tornado and there were tornado warnings where i lived both times. it was fucking rough

on top of that the last time i visited my parents in st. louis i was out with my sisters/brother and my girlfriend visiting the art museum and got caught in a fucking tornado warning while we were driving back — so my gf had to scramble to get home in this city she didn't know with 4 people as passengers with her all having to suppress panic attacks. it was NOVEMBER and there was a BLIZZARD over in kansas city so i figured there wouldn't be a tornado, right??? ha ha ha ha

anyway i like colorado. it's been nice and temperate and occasionally rainy lately. we did have a pretty gnarly hail storm the other night and that's probably the roughest it gets here

lately it's been raining quite often, but it's nice if you ask me—just the right amount of rain, the right amount of clouds, the right amount of warmth. and but yet next week i go back to Croatia again where it will be hoovering around 30°C. in terms of the weather i'm not so excited and will probably hide indoors and watch films or smth

it's been alternating between fucking hot and rainy and not as hot. i like the rainy and not as hot days better

today it's like 65 and raining on and off, which is pleasant. but some days it's been almost 90 and i wanna explode
