![]() Phoenix Wright (Series) - There are a few things about this that I like. For one thing, it was and is a puzzle as you play it, and figuring out things is fun. The story throughout and the links at the end of the series (#3) also brought it to a close.
Super Mario RPG - This game was one of first real experences with a RPG, and I loved it. I remember getting stuck at the first because Chroco was too strong, then when I realized that leveling is good, I beat up the jerk. It was also the first time I had seen Peach out of a NPC role, it was a shock when she joined the team. (and a shock for the enemy when she got the "Iron Plate")
Paper Mario (Series [Yes Super too]) - Funny, this game series was amazingly funny throughout, it poked fun at the Mario series, it presented puzzles (Ah, boo mansion, what I would not give to be able to play though you again without remembering the answers) and it changed a few things about the traditional RPG system. Cooking was a blast, even more so when I had 10 Special Bombs lined up for final bowser~ Link's Awakening is also on this list... mostly because I think this is the first zelda game I had ever played. I did not have any (s)nes versions of this game, so this was my first experience. I remember being stuck on trying to find the nightmare key in dungeon 2, and trying to figure out the 8 temple. (The pictures also brought a smile to my face, poor link...) Hmm... I may need to add more if I think of them too... ____________________ ![]() ![]() |

Jul - Post #1984 - 12-30-07 09:25:31am Diddy Kong Racing. Like Mario Kart 64 but more fun. Great music, battle modes with actual AI (even if it does suck, hey, it's AI), and the tracks are overall better designed. I actually find the "tap A for extra speed" bug makes it more fun for some reason.
Banjo-Kazooie is easily one of the best platformers I've ever played. All sorts of fun things to find and do. Great music again (hey, has a Rare game ever not had great music?), plenty of exploring to do, and pretty funny at times too. Pokémon G/S are some damn good RPGs. What they manage to pull off with the limited power of the Game Boy is incredible, and the game just seems to go on and on with new places to visit and Pokémon to catch. Overall an extremely well-designed set of games. ____________________ Why Not To Buy From Sony • Codes w/o BS • My site POST ORIGINALLY TOTAL - UNAUTHORIZED PROHIBITION DUPLICATED |

Mario Kart DS Mostly I still like it because of the codes I have. For one half I have Infinite Laps that keeps me and the AI on Lap 1 of 3 and not the pre-lap, so the music speeds up on "Lap 2" instead. I also have a code that directly affects your kart's statistics, including off-road speed type 2, deceleration, and item collision size. Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis Ok, so it might be a bit dull to you, but it was a game I highly wanted, and I was not disappointed when I finally found the ROM. The level up keeps your closer to equal, you can train with yourself, and powerup items like Sword Emblems kept me (as in my character) about 10 cuts above everyone else. Kaizo Mario (OR) Asshole Mario Do you remember this one? SNES Japanese hack of Super Mario World, but you have to admit, some of the possible deaths have a bit of humor when you find them, and a nice amount of humor when you watch the video. I've cleared One, now it's Lv10 (Or 9, if the Switch Palace doesn't count to you) and a slight jam. ____________________ -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Posts = 228 Age = 159 Lv 21 Exp 43525 / 49943 LvExp 1086 / 7504 (14.5%) PostExp = 286 ExpTime = 634.571 |

| FFIII(NES/Famicom) - I have no idea why, but I love this game to death, I play through it at least once a year, though I stop when I get to the final boss, since I don't want to grind.
FFIX - Best storyline ever, that is all. Zelda II: The Adventure of Link - I don't know why people don't like it, the gameplay is unique and fun, and it has an awesome final dungeon. Megaman X6 - Again, why people don't like it, I don't know, I like it's level design, I must be crazy, huh. Megaman Legends series - I love it's gameplay mechanics, especially the building and upgrading of weapons, and wish they'd make a third. ____________________ ![]() |

| My favorite game of all time is still Tokimeki Memorial - Forever with You. I stand by my belief that Konami should translate this series so the rest of the world can enjoy what this fun and addictive series has to offer. Tokimeki Girl's Side was pretty fun too but not my favorite in the series...the original to me is still just the best.
I'm also a total freak for old-school Tetris. It's so simple and addictive. |

| I'd have to say that my favorite game of all time is Dragon Warrior. Always has been. There's just something about the gameplay that simply attracts me. Whether it's the 1-on-1 battle system, or the fact that dungeons and caves regenerate (I'm talking Mountain Cave runs to accumulate Gold and Experience really fast!). Heck, I've always been infatuated with the concept of a spell called HURT, which simply deals damage without having to worry about elemental properties!
It's always been a really fun game for me. ____________________ |

| Link's Awakening and Pokemon G/S have been covered earlier, so I'll mention The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Seasons (both top-notch games for the Game Boy Color) and the Advance Wars series, which can't be beat when it comes to GBA turn-based strategy. ____________________ =================== [Posted by IIMarckus] |

| Can't imagine that this series hasn't been said, but...
The Super Smash Bros. Series: These series are the best fighting games I've ever played! It is a lot better that the standard Punch someone until their health runs out and memorizing dozens of move button combinations. Freedom of movement is a lot more satisfying, like the fact that you can actually turn your back on your opponent... My favorite thing about Smash Bros is how there are elements from Nintendo's past scattered all around, like stages for the characters that are all around from different series, items that come from different games and a lot of new things! Master/Crazy Hand, Giga Bowser, Final Destination, Battle Field... The Smash Bros series has a very good replay value, and Smash Bros Brawl's replay value will be near infinite! Paper Mario Series: I still remember stealing my dads credit card 6 years ago to buy this game off ebay! I paid him back right away but still got in trouble (for a good reason). The first one was unlike anything I had ever played before! The flat characters, 3D adventure/RPG, Familiar and new enemies, the whole bit! Challenging battles and hard puzzles. The music was also very good. In the second one, the music wasn't as great, but I still found the game very enjoyable. I was a tiny bit disappointed that Bowser wasn't the Main enemy, but The Shadow Queen wasn't bad either. Super Paper Mario... it was ok, but it didn't meet up with the previous games, mainly because they took out the RPG fighting and just had you fight them right as you got to them! |

| Disgaea: Hour/Afternoon of Darkness & Disgaea 2: Cursed Memories
For some reason, Disgaea makes grinding fun. Add humor and an awesome mechanics, and you get WIN. That, and what cpubasic13 said. Tales of Symphonia Haven't played in forever, but I've destroyed the game. I've had so much fun with it. I don't know why, but I did (also, the battle system is fun) The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask I always say that's it's better than Ocarina of Time. I don't know why, but I had more fun with it. ____________________ Layout just didn't go well with mood avatars. Might redo it someday. |

---------------------------- Little Samson - Obscure NES game, but I can't stop playing it for some reason... =/ Recently I heard about a secret hard mode, but I've been playing this game for several years and I have no idea about that.
There are many more... Will edit this post later. ____________________ |

| There's tons I could put in here, so I'll just put a few of my select favourites.
Tyrian (DOS) You might have seen my rampant fanboyism on the Tyrian topic, but here it is again. One of the greatest vertical shooters of the '90s and one of my favourite games of all time. I still have the original CD that Tyrian 2.0 came on when I got it, way back in 1995/96. I always enjoyed it more than Raptor, too.
Deus Ex (PC/Mac) Action meets RPG meets FPS meets political intrigue. One of the few games I've ever played that I would consider to have a plot, as opposed to a storyline. An enjoyable game that I can play over and over again just to enjoy the story through once more or play the game with a different ideal in mind. Choices, ending, exploring. If you've never played this game you've missed out. Advance Wars 1/2/DS (GBA/GBA/DS) Yeah, I'm lumping all three together. The ultimate in cute turn-based wargames. My personal pet hacking projects, balance debate sources and the like. I love these games so much that I personally run two websites dedicated to them in some way. ;
Escape Velocity Series (Mac) The classic of space privateering. Those of you without Macs back in the day missed out until EVN. But there's nothing like a game of space trading, combat, fleet battles and universal domination with a healthy side of incredibly mod-friendlyness. Total Annihilation (PC/Mac) Ye olde giant robot wars. In my mind the game that deserves the title of most awesome RTS...a game where being able to click ten thousand times a second isn't generally as important as orchestrating an economy and a war. I love it. Lemmings (Just about anything) The original, the ultimate mind bending hair tearing puzzle game about some suicidal blue rodent-things and your quest to save them from their own stupidity. A gem for all time. |

Originally posted by TheGreatGuyYeah, you are. Don't get me wrong, I liked that one too. I love the bosses, and music. The levels just freakin' sucked. For me: Everything Megaman. Classic is classic. X series is gold. Zero series is awesome. Battle Network...eh...it's okay. Legends is one of my most favorite games ever, it was amazing. Final Fantasy Tactics. Too much fun with this one. Legend of Zelda: OoT. Big surprise. Super Smash Bros. Melee. Hours of smashing fun for this one. I've played other fighting games for long periods of time, but this one I had lots of fun on my own and even more with others. Other fighting games like those made by Capcom and SNK I didn't get many Human opponents because no one likes those games. =/ Memory Block. I can't remember any others. Will update, maybe. |
