I suppose I could try the following

-Find some long-term goal/path for life
-Reply a bit sooner to threads
-Hell, reply to them in general
-Be a little kinder/more trusting of myself

EDIT
-As Xk, do more journal writing
-Make things more consistently

As it happens I remembered I wrote this, so...

-I'm not sure I have a long-term path in the sense that I meant when I wrote it, but finding out I'm genderfluid is going to keep me somewhat occupied as I try to incorporate more feminine stuff into my life. Otherwise I think I've made an unofficial goal to just be a source of happiness in other's lives.

-Don't think I've gotten a whole lot better at replying, but...well, anxiety's got its fangs deep in me and I'm progressing on that slowly.

-I seem to be kinder to myself? Self-deprecating stuff only happens anymore when I'm in a bad mood/meltdown. Lizardsquid tells me it's gotten better gradually over the year as well. :3

-My journal has largely taken a self-reflective tone, and posting speed has slowed to a rarity. I think it's more a think of a lack of material though, so I'm not that worried. Maybe I should be a little less strict on what's good enough for there.

-Over 2018 I've started making a lot more stuff, and it's not surprising once I found out that I make things easily as gifts for other people rather than for myself. It helps that I've done 2 month-long daily things (one of which was low-effort though), but 2018's body of work is relatively huge.

Anyone else?

- Work on some projects, mainly, the DdGO! explanation page thing and RHSL, but other things as well.

and overall taking this year to relax a bit more, maybe play/buy some more games as well

- Learnt VBA, learning C, still need to mess with server programming languages. I'll add ASM, C# and PHP to the list of "things to learn".

- Entered college, and I've been enjoying it a lot.

- Barely worked on any projects at all until December. Gonna catch up on it this month.

- Didn't relax all that much, or play any games at all really. *sigh*

I feel like 2018 was a "half-assed" year for me and that, hopefully in 2019 I'll be able to work on the things that I didn't last year.

i guess i can give a quick assessment

big goals
✔️ come out as trans to my parents. unambiguous success. i did it. managed to visit them while i was already out to them. it went okay, i guess.

start presenting female in public & private full-time, including voice. ehhhn. kinda. i've completely failed to do anything on the voice front, but i've been presenting femme more often, at least. i still always feel awkward about it bc i def don't pass

eat healthier in general and get active more. abject failure; i've seriously been to the gym once this year and my diet is only marginally better

get a job. very technically speaking, this was a success. for about a week. very technically. i'm not marking this as a total failure though because i've proved if nothing else that i can get through the interviewing and hiring process without dying from my social anxiety, which i think is important

littler goals
✔️ music: i managed to record or, uh, put together more than a few songs that actually literally exist on my computer, so that's cool! unfortunately nobody will ever hear them because they are embarrassing

writing: kinda half successful, i guess? i wrote more but not as much as i'd like (i'm still really bad at committing to finishing stuff)

✔️ finishing games ever: a couple, but i did worse than i did in 2017 (which is to say still pretty good; i finished a lot in 2017). i might pick up the pace again this year or i might not

overall: ??????????

Well, I said I wanted to get back to my pre-pregnancy weight, and I did!

I also said there was legal shit, and that has also been resolved!

The whole thing where I'm a person outside of motherhood is… very slightly improved. But there are problems. Complications. Those complications are going to be a whole THING in 2019.

- Nag Nicole until she beats Celeste
- Travel somewhere nice, or at least go to the beach...

Let's see how I did:

*Lost a bit of weight but not a lot. I guess.
*Did not finish any of my projects.
*See above.
*Got about half, but nope.
*RIP
*I did go to several places, so this one definitely happened.

As for 2019:

- Finish and release that big project I've been working on lately ( :o )
- Get in better shape, lol
- Continue with the languages I want to learn

Fewer goals, but #1 is far more important, as I've made a significant progress on it and it would be a huge shame if I didn't finish it. Hopefully I won't look at this post in shame a year from now.

I don't really remember all of mine, but...

-I got some basic FPGA stuff done, but not half as much as I wanted.
-I'm not atrophying money, at least.
-I didn't really get in much better shape, though skating fixed that for a little while.

2019 is probably going to look like:
-Do actual DSP work on these little FPGAs (or some bigger ones...)
-Make some actual music, finally.
-Run at least semi-regularly again.

Pretty standard. I'm happy they aren't identical to last year anyway...
