* Fixed usernames in sendprivate.php replies not being colored properly
* Re-added garish custom scrollbars (for Chrome only, and for schemes that support them)
* Enabled mobile mode for user agents that present "Mobile" or "iOS", which should make it slightly less useless
* Fixed 'x.0 years' bug for 'last active/last post' displays
* Added sort by last active to memberlist, and added title tags to dates to show relative times
* Thread views now wrap all (hopefully) posts in <div class="post"> instead of just some
* Removed some junk HTML from thread views and a few other places
* Updated [code] tag; now uses <pre><code> ... </code></pre>, and removes block-level styling on <code> tags so you can use them inline again
* Updated [img] tag; now adds max-width: 100%; via class="imgtag"
* Updated the FAQ

as usual feel free to let me know if anything blew up, or open an issue on github. i do track that sometimes!!! really!!!!!!

(as usual you might have to refresh to get the updated css for code tags but whatever)

Things I'd appreciate feedback on:

- stuff you find that's broken or needs work
obviously having broken things is bad, so if you find stuff, please let me know or make an issue

- stuff that would make using mobile easier
i'm still trying to figure out how to tackle this. i at least enabled 'mobile mode' for more browsers so if you're using iOS it shouldn't be totally awful, but it's really difficult to do much given that mobile is in general extremely poorly suited to long-form content like a forum

- odds and ends
i'm sure there's a few little things that bother you or you'd like to see updated. a lot of stuff is extremely crufty and works (or rather, doesn't) in fun and exciting ways

one of the big changes i need to make soon is expanding user profiles with a freeform config section so i can let people add whatever crap they want to their profile, or add extra options without having to redo the entire dang table/form

one of the bigger plans is to eventually figure out how to shift some crap into "templates", so that instead of dumping raw HTML everywhere i can gently put it in a nice, organized place, and hopefully swap out various things if needed. that's far off, though, since i need to figure out a way to do templates that is lightweight and doesn't require a ton of work (which disqualifies almost every 'modern' engine); might be simplest to just make a concept of views and move the html generating crap in there, who knows

I'm surprised you haven't added Twitter embedding yet or similar.

Maybe remove the mood avatar list on iOS, or move it underneath the post box?

Nothing else needs to be changed about it, IMO it works really well now.

I agree with the mood avatar thing, it could be moved down for mobile layouts, or maybe it could be made into a dropdown? I also have an idea as to how the forum/thread list could look on mobile so it would be easier to browse.

The new scrollbar is absolutely great! I love it! Though I did have to add Jul as an exception to the custom CSS rule I applied to most websites to have better scrollbars. And by exception I mean add a clunky regex like https?:\/\/(?!(jul\.rustedlogic\.net)).{1,}

In fact, I really like all of these changes!

Something I'd like to note (which may or may not be the reason Xkeeper decided against it) is that, YouTube embeds use an <iframe> which means that everything it does is self-contained in its own box. Twitter on the other hand, requires you to dump some of their HTML onto the page and then put a <script> tag in there that will look through the entire page and format it. That's a bit more dangerous, not to mention it might have the power to collect more data from the page.

I appreciate the change to code tags, now I can style them in my layout without resorting to a hack to hide my default blockquote border/padding

As unadapted to mobile at Jul is, I find it's one of the easier sites to navigate accurately somehow.

same

Chrome is stupid, too -- you have to include your own images for the arrows, since it "helpfully" removes them if you apply any styling. (The ones here are actually SVGs It worked out OK in the end, at least.)

One of several possible options, yes. This one might be easy enough to do, anyway (and then I could be stupid and make the reply box full width, instead of limiting it to a certain size.)

I really wish I had a way to apply it to every website, because it's... really nice having a scrollbar with actual contrast again.

That's one of the reasons, yes. In addition, Twitter wants you to embed all sorts of crap on your site if you want to style the display as well, which I'm not really thrilled with.

I think you can do that using the Stylus extension (Stylish is bad) and just attaching an !important to every attribute but I'm not sure if, when it conflicts, if it favors the custom one or the website's one.

I made two mockups of my own:

I don't think the post/thread count is worth keeping when space is this limited.

i'd personally vote for mockup #1, easier clickability is important

also your post breaks the new reply page because one of the images is missing an "

I was thinking the same thing, though I'd spend some more time and figure out a way to get it to nicely fit at the right without needing its own table cell (but it also doesn't really matter)

It's possible, but it's a bit hacky:

<td class="tbl tdbg2 font center">

<div style="display: flex; align-items: center;">

<div>
<span class="lastpost"><nobr>12-12-18 12:56:11 PM</nobr></span>

</font></nobr>
</div>

<a href="thread.php?pid=459951#459951"><img src="images/getlast.png" title="Go to last post" style="position:relative;top:1px;"></a>

</div>
</td>

Cool. Minor problem is that it will overwrite your changes if you try using Edit Profile, but I dunno what I can do about that just yet.

That's part of the CSS in your layout, and in mobile-mode layouts are hidden
