I forget what caused that header problem, or if it was just Ikachan; I know sometimes it'd show up again if you scrolled around.

Also, that makes me miss the days of the Digital color scheme; one of these days I really need to get those old ones back up here...

scrolling around kind of works but then shit seems to disappear and/or appear in the wrong place after that. i dunno, i'll blame ikachan though because why not

posting from Internet Explorer 5 on Mac OS 9.2. hi

I'll probably switch to Classilla at some point; I just wanted to spend some time with IE5 and its neat pseudo-Aqua interface

Jul seems to work surprisingly okay in IE5? Including a fully functional Ikachan! But I don't seem to be able to load any websites through HTTPS — apparently there's no way to change which certificate authorities IE5 will trust, nor is there any way to just tell it to load stuff from untrusted authorities manually...

you'd have to do something stupid like what i'm going to end up doing if/when i ever set up my mitm proxy, though idk if you'll be able to do anything there.

you might get some mileage out of, say, sslstrip, which tries to rewrite https to http. but that tool seemed pretty wonky and was mostly a proof of concept.

I had a VM running WFW (3.11) with an old shareware copy of Opera on it. Choked on just about everything, though, when I tried it.

I need to pick up a good multimeter and a mini DIN-8 cable so I can fabricate a classic Macintosh RS-422 to RS-232 downgrade cable and post from the Macintosh Classic II sitting on my desk.

Related, I've had around for a while an NT 3.51 VM with Firefox 2; basically what's detailed here. Fairly stable though it progressively became more and more limited as time passed for obvious reasons.

I also did have some other WfW 3.11 VM with IE5 and to put it simply, "oof".

I'm wondering why my post has a "ClearType disabled" like aesthetic to it now?

I had my 286 online and running today, but it can't run Arachne and my Telnet server wasn't working (so I couldn't use remote elinks.)

Maybe someday I'll actually post from it.

what's up from a Power Macintosh G3 (desktop, 300mhz, 64MB) running Mac OS 9.2.2 and Classilla 9.3.3

This thing doesn't even have USB. Oh god, getting some of the files and such from this is going to be a massive chore, isn't it

Windows 98, K-Meleon 1 point ...something. Whatever the last Windows 98 release was.

I could probably use IE6 and Opera 7 (or whatever one I have here), but this is what I'm using right now.
