I haven't bothered to get a new TV because I rarely use it. My Wii and X360 can both hook up to my 720p widescreen monitor, older stuff is mostly emulated. The TV is basically only there until I get a video capture card so I can test N64 Gameshark codes/play old games on real hardware and watch video tapes.

Also, forgot two items on the todo list: Dispose of the box-o-garbage and broken chair in the corner and get a cover for the light switch. I hate exposed switches, always fear I'll stick my finger in it.

(I'm also quite amazed I managed to end up with this much empty space, given the floor and bed were literally covered in my stuff before I put it all away. )

The lack of a window takes some getting used to. It's neat that I have total brightness control (can be pitch black at midday if I damn well want it ), but it can be disorienting waking up and finding it's still dark inside. I've rigged a lamp to a timer to combat this, but I'm not yet sure the damn thing works. On the flip side, though, no window means no cats waking me up at 3AM by scratching at the window. (Though I wonder if I should get some posters of outdoor scenes to make up for it?)

Oh, also, that door with the housecoat hanging off it leads to a storage room. Unfortunately, it was full before I got here, so I can't put anything in it. (The light switch seen is for that room, the main switch is at the top of the stairs. Obviously, going down the stairs in total darkness would suck.)
