So, recently the Halo 2 multiplayer alpha was dumped. It's a different build than the one that's listed on TCRF, and actually functions if you load it up on modified servers. From what I've seen, it's a pretty barebones multiplayer on the first game's engine with unfinished assets.

Gameplay of the build can be found in the video below, the download of the alpha is also included in a MEGA link in the video's description.

Surprised I haven't found this earlier, but a 2001 alpha build of Lego Bionicle: The Legend of Mata Nui was found and posted online a few months ago. It has been confirmed to work on most Windows operating builds when set to Windows XP compatibility mode.

I've got it working by the following:

Installing the game, first. Then downloading the launcher, and inserting it into the game's install directory and installing the launcher then running it to patch the game up to run. Then you just run the "Lego Bionicle" executable.

It can be downloaded here:

http://biomediaproject.com/bmp/the-legend-of-mata-nui/

Just to note. I've had issues getting it running in windowed, it's also very prone to crashing from how early of an alpha it is.

Here's a recent dump I made of a sample version of Meikyuu Kumikyoku (Milon's Secret Castle) on the Famicom. It cuts off after you beat the first boss. It looks like a lot of the graphics for the later stages have been gutted, so I'm not sure if it would be playable even if you hacked past the cutoff.

This is a pretty fascinating sample! If you wait for a few seconds at the title screen, you'll notice the game goes into a very long gameplay demo, something the retail version doesn't have. It plays through the first level, visits the shop, shows off the bonus stage, visits the shop again, and then fights (and dies against) the first boss. In order to fit all the input data for this demo in the ROM, the developers had to gut two pages of CHR data and everything after $F000 in the PRG ROM (it streams data from PPU $0000-$1FFF, and then switches to PRG). The input data is entirely uncompressed and streamed directly to RAM every frame, which is why it takes up so much space; they probably could have fit it in PRG ROM with some basic compression, but I guess they didn't think it was necessary for a one-level sample.

Thanks for uploading this!

A rare U.S. prototype of Castlevania Bloodlines had been dumped by a CVdungeon discord user

Author Partial Blooverine quotes:
Please note: This is not the famous .5 build that the guy payed $4k for. This is earlier.

I assume this version is 0.3 build according to ROM header:

Header of Final build (Bloodlines)

SEGA GENESIS (C)T-95 1994.MAR CASTLEVANIA BLOODLINES GM T-95076-00 J

They really made hordes of progress in a sole month...It's so sad since the zeppelin and hot steel scenes were not included in this build either, maybe we won't know the actual structure of them if the 0.5 build is already lost and never dumped

This wasn't dumped by the user, just shared. It was seemingly just passed between collectors before.

Oh huh, I wonder if that's the batch that people were talking about before.

Most of it looks like system update discs, but there's one with a system 1.00 update disk there.

If you mean the European batch, I don't believe so. There are several Japanese ones; these apparently were verified / validated or whatever by Redump.

I saw a bunch of trade demos, aren't those usually different from the final ones?

Also, it might be worth looking into those magazine DVDs for early game differences (I'm using them to get developer portraits for MobyGames.)

SNES Central released some protos a couple weeks back, including a build of the unreleased Spot Goes to Hollywood.

I found the RAM value for levels and was able to access one that you can't normally get access to. Gotta get that code again. Rodri3

PurePure Vol. 12

This disk contains a demo of the PSX version of Puzzle Bobble 4 which, if last modified dates are to be believed, is dated almost three months before the final game.

This cut down demo itself is kind of buggy and, unsurprisingly, it has more things in common with the arcade game, as well as early versions of port-specific graphics.

Even though it's shrunk down and you can only play as Bub on the first five levels in Puzzle Mode, some poking around revealed the entirety of 1P Arcade Puzzle mode being present and all of the characters, among some other stuff.

Thanks to Kiddo for providing the image after it disappeared for years off the internet.

note: use this lua script to unlock the controls in the main menu / character select screen and bypass the Game Over screen after every 5th round
