That brings back memories of playing Mastermind with my brother.

This looks like a harder version, though. Kinda weird to see it recreated like this because of copyright and whatnot.

There is a standard mode with just six colours and four guessing locations, you get 10 attempts on that one, vs the 12 attempts on this harder version.

It's more a game about acquiring information than guessing the solution. You can get lucky, of course, but most games ends with with me having the solution at least on the 10th guess, earlier if luck permits.

Julbench3.1  94% full, 55K free, 824K in use
Good: Happy that my mom's happy that she's got a decent-ish PC now, I guess? Used Dell Optiplex 960 with Core 2 Duo E8500, 8 GB RAM, 250 GB and 320 GB SATA HDDs, a new GeForce GT 710, etc., running Windows 7. Obviously still not a modern system, but it's enough for what she does, meaning general internet stuff and some game(s?) on Facebook. Certainly better than her previous (i.e. my pre-previous) Athlon 64 X2 with 3 GB RAM and on-board video, and a dying IDE HDD, in any case.

Bad: 99% certain that I'll be out of a job again at the end of the month. Sadly was only a short-term job opportunity thingy, and while I've apparently been doing good work and they could use some more permanent employees, funds for creating new positions are currently lacking. Would be nice if maybe, possibly, there'd be some sort of positive outlook, but... it's not looking too good.

The "Guess" game reminded me of Wordmaster, a mediocre game for the DS. The reason why it reminded me of that is mostly because I fail miserably at both of them.

It also reminds of a Disney/Mickey game which was released for either the Genesis or the Super Nintendo that I can't seem to remember much about other than that you had to solve a bunch of puzzles in it and that it's probably an educational game. I played it way too long ago, I'm surprised I even remember it existing at all. Actually, now I'm curious, does anyone know what that game was?

Staying up until 3-4 AM and then waking up at 7 AM for work; good for socializing, bad for everything else. I feel like I got run over by a bus

Haha, yeah, sleep is pretty important.

Well, here in Australia, daylight saving time has ended. This has messed up everyone sleep, because we have a baby. If we didn't have a baby we'd have had an hour's sleep in. But the baby doesn't know or understand that the clocks have changed…

I'm definitely hating it a lot right now. The baby is so tired he doesn't know what to make of anything at all, but he also can't sleep. It's horrible.

Poor thing :c
Wishin' y'all the best

Meanwhile, my stomach bacteria came back some weeks ago but I've been taking meds for it.
It's more or less over, need to do blood tests now.
Thank god I didn't have to stay at the hospital this time, hated that.

My shitty family doctor was an idiot and refused to do tests back in August to check if it was fully gone, sooooooo
Hate him too, incompetent asshat, he's clearly only there for the money.

Also suffering bodily pains again, possibly flu?
I'm getting better though and really that's all that matters.

Also lowkey pissed off at the fact no one wants to do anything to keep SMW hacking from dying off
I really want to keep it alive and take it away from Kieran and Fu's grubby little hands but I also feel like I'm powerless to do it

Edit: Also my birthday was last Thursday (the 29th). I was still a bit sick so I didn't celebrate much. Still had fun tho! Guess I'm 21 now.

Having just spent an hour of what should have been time asleep instead on the toilet, you have my sympathy.

Bodies are stupid.

Finally got my QuiteRSS feeds set up properly! Woop woop! Put all my webcomics in there now and I set it up so I only get sounds/tray notifications for webcomics that don't update very often (as opposed to weekly). I am content with this setup.

Also, the MSPA website got a full-fledged redesign after... almost a decade? I think? Apparently Viz Media is handling most of the HS stuff now, and I'm not sure how to feel about it.

As long as they don't hinder Hiveswap's development I'm fine with this, but it seems they're already making changes on that front...

Argh I am definitely not sure how I feel about the MSPA redesign OR Viz. Kind of... maybe... not good.

Yeah, that's how I feel about that too. I really hope James Roach makes a tweet thread or blog post or something about why he left soon so we can all be in the loop...

My favorite part is the ads that pop up every few pages.

Good thing I already read through Homestuck already. I think that's enough for one lifetime. It's a shame about Problem Sleuth, though.

1. Thanks, Capitalism!(TM)

2. PS is still under the 'READ' link on the navbar. They really should make the other MSPAs easier to find.

Oh, yeah, I didn't mean it was gone. I just meant I like to reread it every once in a while, and those ads would get in the way.

There are fucking *ads* ?!

Yeah I feel definitely not good about it.

Edit: I know this is a fairly melodramatic response, and it's probably because I'm sleep deprived, but I'm actually quite sad about this. I know Homestuck has been over for a very long time, but this somehow makes it feel not just *over* but actually *dead*.

Arguably not dead, but undead, revived by some controller for the purposes of profit.

Also, my credit card got duplicated, so that sucks! Hope my backup card that just came in the mail last week will work since I haven't used it for literally anything but Linode in two years.

That really sucks, hope you can get it sorted out before it's too late.
