More Soul Nomad...

Wow, they sure made the evil path...evil. Go through 50 maps and the hardest level on a boss is 942 which gets reduced to 42 if you're smart enough.

I go through to the 12th map of this and the boss is sitting at 120. It was fine when it started, but the level on the bosses skyrocket shortly after you start, starting at 36. Forces powerleveling.

Atlantis no Nazo.
I beat it for the first time today, without using save states or the "Atlantis no Suck" hack. Now, to beat it without using warps/collect treasures/explore more zones.
Also, I hate the 36th Zone. Almost as much as the Final Zone.
The 42th Zone is my favorite one, as I have never gone to it by mistake. (Don't know what the 42th Zone is? Look at my avatar)
This game is strangely addicting.

Finally beat SMB2J

Took long enough. Now I just need to finish the rest of the levels... Currently at C-1 after beating all of 9-X with several lives.


...By the way, did you know that World 9 was completely botched in SMAS? There are actually messages (and weird things) that happen in it, and the world loops infinitely once it begins.

But yeah, it was pretty funny... I beat 8-4 in one try the last time I played it (with 6 lives, for a final score of 720,000 or so)


By the way, if you think beating SMB2J is easy because you beat it in SMAS, well... the FDS version is a lot harder You start out with 3 lives and have to restart the world if you get a game over (not the level), not to mention World 9 sets you to only one life...

That's why they took out the "For Super Players" in the AS version. Dropped the difficulty an amount.

...too bad I'm not able to get it right now...

Looks like it (SMB2 FSP) came from SMAS-J, and the SMB2: LL came from the US version.

I'm talking out my ass, but logically it makes sense.

I fed it a ton of credits I think I had well over 20 Game Overs...


The really, really sad thing? Player 2 (who was there accidentally and just started getting free continues) ended up with the high score, despite firing no bullets and never moving.

Talk about adding insult to injury...
