I'm not a big fan of Polygon, but I do love me some McElroy and Nick Robinson magic, so their Monster Factory and Car Boys series have made me cry from laughing multiple times; they're national treasures

formerly of gamespot's Danny O'Dwyer and a buddy of his started noclip and they hit the ground running fast; their Doom/Rocket League pieces are so so so good, especially as someone who loves both games to death

I'm a huge fan of Giant Bomb, but if it weren't for TurboMan's Best of Giant Bomb videos, I wouldn't have discovered them back in 2011.

also this guy's soulsborne videos are preeeeeeetty stupid in a great way

FamilyJules7x does amazing covers of music from games and is a regular uploader, and it's always high quality stuff, along with The8BitDrummer and ToxicxEternity. And of course, with music, you have to mention Smooth McGroove.

I finally got in to Rooster Teeth this year, and oh my god, I fell in hard. Starting with LetsPlay, I'm currently on my 4th playthrough of their entire GTAV series, with a big backlog of Minecraft to watch, not to mention AHWU, Off Topic Podcast, and then the rest of the various videos they put out. GameAttack has only been around a couple of months, so I'm not terribly far behind on them. RoosterTeeth itself has all sorts, with RT Podcast, RT Life, RT Shorts, On The Spot and so much else. Basically, they're bloody massive, and I have no idea how I never watched their stuff before this year.

Obviously, GameGrumps, JonTron, Vinesauce are all great, though I'm VERY far behind on my Grumps. Hot Pepper Gaming are amusing, Jim Sterling is always a laugh, SeaNanners puts out stuff I think almost daily. ElectroBOOM is a great way to see what you shouldn't do with electricity from a guy who is clearly insane. Shesez puts out a great series called Boundary Break, which is all about taking the game camera and using it to see stuff you clearly weren't meant to.

Basically, I watch far more videos than can be considered healthy.

Love Every Frame a Painting. In a similar vein, my husband and I also enjoy Now You See It and The Royal Ocean Film Society. Husband is more into actually making film than I am, but there's plenty of stuff I find interesting for illustration.

I really enjoy PBS Idea Channel.

We also watch a lot of tech and retro stuff like LGR, and at the moment my husband is driving me insane with ashens eating weird stuff.

Sugar Pine 7 is what I've been catching up on lately, and it's really good. It's a series of "alternative lifestyle" videos. Basically vlogs where the main guys play heightened, bizarre versions of themselves, with Arrested Development-style narration over top. Lots of callbacks and referential humor.

Also Funhaus and Cow Chop for more "traditional" Let's Play-ish content.

God bless Captain Disillusion. They debunk fake footage and viral videos, while also having the best VFX production value I've ever seen on YouTube (notincludingrocketjumporcorridordigital). Please sub to this man, he deserves it.

Honorable mentions:
- El-heck-tronics. My good friend's heavily-underrated technology channel. Go sub to it. Please. He deserves the subs.
- Nitro Rad. One of the best upcoming YT game reviewers I've seen.
- Epikrika. The best Roblox reviever I've seen on YT.
- Ross's Game Dungeon. The best GAME reviever I've seen on YT.
- VWestlife. If you like old technology, this channel is the one for you.
- The Nostalgia Mall. Same as VWestlife, but with a lot more 90s Packard Bells. And 90s kid nostalgia.
- The 8-Bit Guy. Another really good technomancer that does a lot of videos on old 80s computers. And they're entertaining, too!
- Lazy Game Reviews. More old-school technomancy. With videos that range from reviews of old Gateway2000 computers, to reviews of Microsoft Bob.
- LoadingReadyRun. Like sketch comedy, video games, WWE, and/or Magic the Gathering? You'll fit in comfortably here with this former sketch comedy group that never ceases to entertain me.
- Todd in the Shadows. Like Anthony Fantano, except actually good.
- Tom Scott. Has some of the MOST interesting videos on YouTube. I recommend watching the Citation Needed videos.
- This Is Dan Bell. Like dead malls and urban exploration? Dan's the man for you.
- Oddity Archive. And finally, if you're a fan of weird, outdated, forgotten pop culture and technological ephemera of years past, Oddity Archive is probably your perfect channel.

There's only two channels I'm subscribed to:

TheraminTrees - Makes videos on psychology and manipulation, with a considerably critical focus on religion in the majority of them.

RoahmMythril - Makes let's plays. Often they're challenge runs and/or very thorough. Most notably, they've done a series going through every Mega Man classic game and defeating every robot master with uncharged shots and without taking damage. I got my love for Mega Man from there.

Seconding (and thirding or whatever!) LGR, The 8-Bit Guy and 8-Bit Keys, and Jeremy Parish's channel. Also adding, unless I missed them already being mentioned...

- My Life in Gaming: Originally found their channel because of their RGB series, about getting the best possible image quality out of retro consoles, but stayed for game showcases, documentary-style videos and interviews, tips and tricks for game/accessory storage and display, etc.

- DigitalFoundry: Technical analysis of game performance, hardware comparisons, and - admittedly the main thing I'm watching on the channel - their DF Retro series that basically does the same things, but for retro games and hardware; the video comparing every console port of the original Doom was quite interesting, for example.

- RetroManCave: In a way, a smaller and more British version of LGR and The 8-Bit Guy, started posting videos regularly about a year ago. Does ex. nice hardware restorations and upgrades (so far, a 486 PC, VAXstation, Amiga 500 and Atari Lynx), and just a few days ago had a very interesting video about France's early Minitel online service.

There's other channels I'm (still) watching, but I think these are my most frequently watched recently.

Oh boy, have I been binging Achievement Hunter for probably a couple of years at this point. I'm sure it's about 70% of what I watch now. Though I'll also watch a lot of the parent channel, Rooster Teeth. I'm quite sad that Burnie's vlogs have ended, because they were quite interesting and inspiring.

Other than that, I've recently been watching a series called Handmade Quake, where you're walked through recreating Quake in C, and it's really interesting an informative. Unfortunately, it's been on hiatus for some time because the guy doing it now works at Epic.

10 Second Songs is an incredibly talented guy with an amazing voice.
