...wow. Just...wow. 19 out of every 20 commercials trying to sell you a miracle pill that will take away your problems, is that right? Probably trying to keep people from rebelling from poor conditions by giving them something that they're supposed to take for fixing poor sleeping conditions and the like, when it really just supresses any anti-governmental thoughts they have. Here they don't seem to be able to advertise in the same way. We get a couple of advertisements for over-the-counter treatments, such as Panadol (paracetamol / acetaminophen) and other mild pain relievers, some antacids, and multi-vitamins.
They don't advertise a whole lot else. I understand that in the United States they are permitted to advertise anti-depressant medication for example, but I've never seen an advert for one in Australia. ____________________ |

Think maybe the neurotransmitters aren't the cause, but a symptom? Being sad usually leads to depression. I know, I know: can't say that because it isn't treated with a drug. And then there's kids with short attention spans and lots of energy. Does that mean what I think it does? Recent studies show that children under the age of 21 all have attention disorders! Human nature is now an illness. |
