Hi there,
In case that you don't know me, I'm Matthew Coburn, a Mario series fangamer. I've become interested in Toad's Tool 64, and it's powerful interface. I was wondering if you could help me out with something. I'm keen to do a SM64 Hack that replaces Mario, with Peach's model, and the related objects/items. The thing is, would you be able to make a program for this task? I'm keen to see it happen.
What would I need to do? Export a model from the Mario Party series games, import it to SM64's Model ROM Bank, and go from there? What would you do if you wanted to do something like this?
If you can't help me out, that's ok. Maybe you could point me in a direction for a tool that allows me to do this task?

This would be difficult, due to how the models are animated, also, Peach's model is in SM64 already.
Towards how to do it, I don't know, but it would involve a lot of hexadecimal. I mean A LOT!

First off, TT64 Can't at this point import models.
And second, to switch Mario to Peach, go to 0x22, find Mario, and set his combo to Peach.
His animation will be glitchy, so you may want to try this procedure on him.
However, this will only work on castle grounds.

Peach isnt in the combo list.
You can change peachs model ID to something else but you cant change Mario to Peaches ID

Ok, thanks. I'll need a few screenshots of how to change Mario to Peach, as I'm new to this, and such.
Maybe someone can guide me through the process via IM?

mario 64 ant like any other n64 game you cant change mario into peach (not yet anyway).
mario 64 is one of the first 64 bit game out there, therfore the models will be too complicated to change. |
