So I was given an old CRT TV to have in my room. Nothing too interesting there except for the fact that it makes a small 8-bit sound when starting up and it instantly became one of my favorite TVs.

Otherwise, it works just like any other CRT TV.

286 Zenith computer with 3MB of RAM incoming!

It's not actually that bright, it's just the ridiculous flash on the camera makes it seem that way.

The real question is if it has a big ol' red switch on the side.

I've mentioned it elsewhere, but I (finally) ended up getting a Wario Land 2 cartridge.

which means I now own:

  • Wario Land
  • Wario Land 2
  • Wario Land 3
  • Wario Land 4
  • Wario Land The Shake Dimension

At least I can now say I have a more or less complete collection of something.

This more or less sums up how I feel about the game.

With the exception of the bonus games needed for 100%, it doesn't really have anything I don't like; but I guess they needed a way to lower your coin count for levels.

At least they are optional.

I got a fancy phone case with spots for three cards, so I don't need to carry a wallet any more.

Oops, I never posted what I got for Christmas.

A bag of peanut butter cups (which didn't make it to Boxing Day)
An electroluminescent aux cable (which I've yet to use)
Mario Party: The Top 100 (3DS)
Fire Emblem: Warriors (N3DS)
Oscar de la Hoya's autobiography
A book about MLB ballparks
Explorers of Ixalan (the new MTG board game, is pretty ok but the included decks suck)
A new wallet
$20 gift card
$25 Disney gift card
Seminoles lanyard
Stress football
Bucs tumbler
Moon-themed calendar
Whiteboard (which kept falling off the wall)
2Tie

Rumours of my death have been greatly exaggerated.

got adventure, adventure, and adventure 2 in today, plus the rumble jump pack observble in the controller.

also i have two dreamcasts now because i thought the first was broken; turns out the video cable was bad.
i got a replacement + a vga cable as well. so i could teeechnically have both set up at the same time? though i don't think you can link systems for multiplayer like you can with Saturns...

Niiiiice. Mine won't boot, so I gotta replace the PSU. (I could replace it with a picoATX PSU, and actually use my soldering iron in the process, but I think that's more expensive without counting stuff like a multimeter.)

I only ever saw one of those at the old school years ago, and they were pretty cool.

In fact, at some point I had a... plasma ball simulator on my iPad. I guess I was easily amused as well.

i wanted to wait until i got everything before posting this

i got:
  • Sharp LL-T1620 16" SXGA Monitor (2002), one of the few 16" SXGA desktop monitors (most were 17" or 19"), this one also has an sRGB color-calibrated setting

  • Nintendo Game Boy Light, silver (1998), i’ve always wanted one and now i have it. surprisingly, the screen looks pretty bad when the light’s off

  • Canon PowerShot G10 (2008), i’ve just had my eyes on this one for a while; it’s such a powerhouse, but my favorite part is the ISO dial

It is cool, aside from bits of the dome getting hot pretty quickly when you play with it.

I find it interesting how the plasma messes with depth perception a bit. It's kinda hard to see which stream is in front of what and everything jitters too quickly to easily make sense of.

A copy of Dragonball FighterZ, and a replica of the bat from Suicide Squad.

One is for now. The other is to be mounted in my game room.

-Lenovo X61s with 4GB RAM and dock + charger. I definitely don't need more thinkpads, but I've wanted an X series of this era for too long.
-Brother HL-2140, since my current printer has given up the ghost.

My wallet's a bit dead despite getting good prices on both, but I think it'll be worth it...
