Yeah, I'm aware of all this, although I'm guessing most software in businesses does fall into this category of never being done. I know at my work its always being changed because there are new products, changes to laws, changes to policies, changes to banking systems, management gets ideas, someone discovers a new and exciting way to break it, etc. Just… perpetual change.

Also I hate the dishes. So much.

Anyone know how to fix an original DS hinge if the part that broke off was quickly found in one piece? Asking for a friend.

I asked the obviously kayfabe Spike employee ranting on Twitter what they thought of the Star Wars marathons they would keep having at times and got no answer

It's 5 am my time. I am up this late because I'm an idiot who leaves things for the last minute.

I've never made a post at this hour before, in all my eight years on Jul. This is now being broken! ;D

The last few posting sprees I remember (the 2014 era onward) were in August of 2015 and April of 2016. In the entirety of August I had made 46 posts, averaging at about 1.48 per day (compared to my normal 0.27). That is something that I don't think I'll ever reach again.

The reason I'm mentioning this is because two people, Halian and Xkeeper, got Reinfors Syndrome today (yesterday?). That means 75+ posts on a single day. Holy macaroni.

Also Xkeeper is constantly closer and closer to surpassing Anya as the person with the highest amount of posts.

I wish that I could find forums/etc when they're actually in their golden age.

Jul of course, and then the first proper micronation I joined, I had just missed the end of a period of good times by, like, a month.

I suppose Glitch City Labs counts? but I was only 13 in 2007 so I was a complete and utter ass for like six years, not to mention the multiple lengthy downtimes.

Also, what happened to Anya?

When I received the new laptop, I assumed the ethernet cable would have been of higher quality.

Instead, it's even worse as the little piece of plastic needed to hold the cable in place broke on both sides. And even when it didn't break it was too easy to accidentaly move the cable and make the connection go down.

In practice, I'm seeing my best friends 'Schezo[C2]_' and 'Ping timeout' fairly often. Thanks!

I don't know if it was in a public thread or one of the private ones, but one of the last things I remember her posting was how she won some dumb giveaway on Twitter ... and then turning around and saying:

Unlike Twitter, forums never got me anything

or something of the sort — basically, being completely dismissive of this whole place, the community she was a part of for over a decade, because she won some stupid gift card or whatever. It was insulting.

She's still very much around, still trying to shill her writing constantly. I find it an amusing bit of irony that her writing skill was largely developed because of the ancient role-playing forums that she participated in so often. (And I think the stories that she writes are influenced by them, too, but I haven't really read them beyond the descriptions.)
