Hey, does anybody here use any software to record all their recipes? I used to use a MediaWiki, then an app called SousChef, but both of those have died for various reasons. I started putting things in Evernote but I'm not that thrilled with it.

Ideally I'm after something I can share recipes across devices with. That way, if I'm out and decide to grab a few things for a recipe, I can check my phone for ingredients. I could also give friends recipes if it comes up in conversation while I'm out. Does anybody know of anything for this, or should I carry on using Evernote?

I've only used Evernote for keeping my recipes. What is it about Evernote that you're not thrilled with? Is there another feature you're looking for?

I wasn't impressed with their approach to privacy at the end of last year. Also just want to know if there's something better.

Trello actually works well for this:

You can use labels to organize them, checklists to note off the requirements for shopping. Use one board to collect recipes and another board to actually plan meals for the week; you can even throw them on a calendar using the "powerup" or whatever.

It didn't work well for us just because we're all lazy, but the idea is solid and it works on mobile

OMG TRELLO

I would not have thought of that in a million years. But I love my Trello!

I forgot where I first heard of it, but it seems like a logical way to manage that sort of thing. The ability to include pictures and links and whatnot (and votes, and so on) would make it pretty useful.

As much as I absolutely love Trello...this has been my entire experience with Trello.

My husband would forget all about it if it wasn't for the integration with Slack… and my annoying updates.

I feel like Slack is a little overkill for that, but if it works

Oh, one of my favorite things about it is it's integration with things. I'm not sure if IFTTT has picked it up yet, but Zapier + Trello is

We're in a few Slacks, may as well use it to my advantage! It's not all we use it for, but he does get DM spam when I mess with our tasks.

IFTTT also supports Trello.

Yeah, I just don't see it as nice to use as a multi-team environment than something like Discord; you have to keep multiple tabs open.

I guess the app technically helps with that since it has a team switcher built in, but now you're running a second copy of Chrome to support a bloated web app and what do you mean all my RAM is in use
