Got a refill this morning of Mellow Yellow Zero. The gas station near our house has one of those Coke machines with dozens of sodas and flavored waters. $0.99 for refill any size so I keep the 44oz cup I get from there on occasion to refill. Need my caffeine boost for the morning.

Ok so I don't want to sound like a corporate shill but it's kinda hard not to in a thread about beverages So I'm drinking Fairlife chocolate milk and it's amazing. It's really good despite the low sugar content. It's almost like drinking a chocolate milkshake...

Just water for me; I really miss caffeinated stuff but I don't want to resort to drinking coffee and soda is amazingly bad for my health

Soda really is bad for everyone. A lot of it has absolutely way too much sugar, it's obscene. A can of coke has like 10 teaspoons of sugar in it! Drinking a can once a week is not too bad but it's really easy to get hooked on them and drink several day.... 20 ... 30 ... 40 teaspoons of sugar??

I haven't had any soda in a really long time. I usually just drink water too... Although right now I'm drinking a cup of whole milk.

I used to drink a ton of Pepsi Max. It was delicious, and it had no sugar, so hey why not? Now realising that just because there's no sugar, doesn't mean it's actually any good for me. I've been consuming a lot more water and a lot less Pepsi recently and finding it to be much better overall.

To be fair, for a long time, tap water tasted disgusting to me; all the chemicals in the systems were quite apparent. Either I've adjusted, or something's changed because that's all gone now.

The tap water here in Adelaide is widely considered to be disgusting, and I don't even notice any more. You get used to these things. It's safe to drink. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Some time down the track I'd like a water filter tap installed, but that's not urgent.

Diet Sundrop!

It has a lot of caffeine, and I like caffeine. I don't like the feeling on my teeth that soda with sugar gives you, so I always drink diet.

Usually it's filtered well water, but right now I've got here a mug of kombucha and a can of V8 juice. Yesterday I was drinking a lot of herbal tea like ginger and raspberry hibiscus—I've been drinking a lot more of that since we got an electric hot water dispenser.

Edit: And now for some venison broth! Before that, I got to try some kombucha mixed with a spoonful of elderberry wine.

[08:13] <@ZeroOne> happy late birthday mr_flea!
[08:14] <@ZeroOne> Also, shit, that sounds like some nice payment
[08:14] <@ZeroOne> I mean, aside from the Jack part.
[08:23] <.darthbobby> Not my favorite, but it certainly will do.
[08:24] <@ZeroOne> I've never liked it. Southern Comfort, however, is very nice
[08:24] <.darthbobby> It was actually half a fifth of regular jack, and half a fifth of Honey jack. I'll probably regift the honey jack, as that's usually not my thing. Too sweet
[08:25] <@ZeroOne> I haven't tried honey Jack. I imagine I'd like it, given that's pretty much what SC is

[08:25] <@ZeroOne> Best everything relief, really
[08:27] <.darthbobby> rubbing alcohol for wounds on the outside, drinking alcohol for wounds on the inside
[08:28] <@ZeroOne> Oh yes

Well, I know what I'm going to be drinking come 5 pm

Mountain Dew, which was a mistake, and a bunch of water, which was also a mistake.

The solution to not sleeping is to sleep more, not try to keep up with caffeine.

this morning i consumed the beloved beverage known as water (also erroneously referred to as H2O, when a significant amount of water we consume also contain minerals). please see below (fig. 1) for an overview of beverages i've imbibed the past few days.

fig. 1 drinks

water continues to be my favorite beverage to consume, given its refreshing, hydrating qualities combined w/ its low dietary footprint. few, if any, other beverages provide such unique qualities w/o additional effects (psychological and/or diuretic, as in the case of coffee or tea).

man, i sure do love a glass of good ol' Adam's ale.
