Definitely not in Halo 1. I tried, because I accidentally triggered the Flood Keyes cutscene in the old graphics mode on both the 360 and the One and couldn't switch back. As a result, I still haven't seen that cutscene in the new graphics

I also added you on Xbox Live. I also saw some of your friends; do Jeremy and Ray just add whoever adds them? I'm a little tempted to try

Oh yeah, Halo 2 pretty sure is the only one that has the instant switch.
The fun thing about Xbox Live friends is you can add whoever you want.

I think it only counts as a follow unless they add you back? But you can still track achievements/see online status/whatever.

Finally hitting up Ratchet & Clank (PS4)... wow, this game is incredible. I'm about halfway into it and my jaw was on the floor the entire time. Literally one of the best and coolest looking games I've ever seen, even compared to my high end PC stuff. I hope Insomniac still keeps this series going. Love it. ____________________

DOOM was only £10 on the Xbox One, so I grabbed it and oh my god, I'm so happy I did. I got it on the PC at launch, but somehow, I managed to forget just how damn good the game was. I've been marathoning it quite a bit recently, and I've almost completed it. I'm missing 2 data entries, then it's just the final level. Pretty good game for grinding gamerscore

I also ordered Batman: Arkham Knight on the One. It was great on the PC, and I'll be quite happy to play that again. Easily the best one out of the quadlogy, though City is quite close. I also want to get Return to Arkham, which is the first 2 games updated for the One, which I didn't even know existed, and the Dead Rising series, which are all on the One. Caught a glimpse of DR3, and it looks insane.

Yeah I didn't have too much trouble getting the platinum for Doom 4. I plan to get it again on Steam since it goes on sale so often. I will gladly buy that game again and play it over a few more times haha. ____________________

Pokémon Pinball, funnily enough.

BMF54123 has had a game on his PP Ruby/Sapphire cart for literally years (possibly ten) and never lets me play it, so I took his original PokePinball cart and demolished his scores. That was 9+ years ago, and my score on the blue (good) table back then was about 3.80 billion.

I started playing it last night and had 3 extra balls and 4+ billion before I lost my first ball.

I forgot how much fun that game was.

Picked up Nier Automata a while back, and it's pretty great! Just finished Ending A, now going through the second playthrough. Dunno how long I'll last with it, cause I have other stuff I want to play, but it seems like they dripfeed new content throughout NG+, which is cool.

glad you're enjoying it! it's a lot less like ng+; keep playing after B for some more stuff. It picks up hard

Yeah route B is a different perspective with some new stuff, but route C after that is straight up the back half of the game and all new stuff. It gets REAL! Probably my GOTY honestly. It gave me the craziest Xenogears/Xenosaga vibes in the coolest ways ever. I didn't think Breath of the Wild would be topped, but I'm a sucker for all the themes Automata tapped into... and that OST is out of this world. ____________________

Booted up Super Mario World again and since I'd already done a legit 96 exits run a long time ago, I'm just throwing on infinite lives and infinite time cheats to just casually do it.

I'm pretty close to done. All I have left to do is finish about half of the Special World and then go clobber Bowser.

scored a beautiful, clear Game Boy Pocket, which is now taking me through a journey through the first handheld game i had ever played: Pokémon Red/Blue.

Pokémon is always a stressful game to me b/c i try to plan out my team before i even start. this is a very involved process & requires me asking questions such as who is going to fulfill what role. my last playthrough i went w/ the iconic

Chansey

Tauros

Rhydon

Starmie

Exeggutor

Dragonite

team, which made the game a bit of a joke & was full of Pokémon (apart from Dragonite) that i was not particularly excited about.

nevertheless, i decided to change this for this playthrough. how can i develop a nice in-game team that'll cover all my bases? i am considering the following:

Victrebel. this would make it the first time i have ever used this one. this one will pack Razor Leaf, making it a solid counter to all the Water, Ground & Rock types i encounter.

Persian. this cat Pokémon can be a fun Normal-type addition to my team. i have always overlooked this one, so it will be interesting to run this instead of Clefable/Wigglytuff/Snorlax/Chansey.

Jolteon. initially was going to be Raichu, but i have never run Jolteon in my team before. moreover, Jolteon outclasses it in every stats except Attack i think.

Marowak. picked for the fun Bonemerang attack.

???, most likely Omastar.

???, not sure yet. possibly Gengar or Hypno or smth.
