Fair warning, if imgur picks up a ton of hotlinking towards a site, it may block that site. Happened with MetConst, though it was resolved by simply messaging somebody at imgur and requesting an unblock.

I thought the $399 premium price was a crazy joke... but no, it's real. I have no words for that. lmfao I migrated over to imgur for now. Only downside to imgur is how it jumbles up the file names and organizing is kind of a pain. ____________________

Imageshack really takes me back, it was the first site I ever used for uploading images to share with others. I never really liked Photobucket for whatever reason, so I guess that kind of saved me from having to deal with this whole mess now. I currently use Postimage which is really reminiscent of how Imageshack once was.

I remember when this happened to Imageshack and now Photobucket is going the same direction. Externally linked images are fickle things, aren't they. There are dozens of other places though and if you can afford the money, I suppose you can still use Photobucket. Don't be surprised if they go that direction though, with hosting getting pretty expensive over time and space.

The biggest reason they would block external linking isn't space, it's bandwidth.

Businesses tend to get the worst side of pricing in regards to that.
