I make some short, relevant thing on the first line that seems to go with whatever is going on and get all my points out of the way, or at least most of them.

Then for no reason I have this shorter second line disconnected from the rest.

(I add this third line here 'cause I have no idea why I keep making my posts that way. I just...do?)

I used to be lazy and just write stuff on sites in an annoyingly long sentence that drove people crazy just like the one that I just wrote that you are reading lol.

Then I started to actually try making it easier to read.

I end a lot of my sentences with just to make sure people don't misinterpret a lighthearted sentence, or a joke.

My posts just tend to include a lot of useless additions (like this) that don't really flow well. I've been trying to fix it, going back over posts or messages and editing them to remove the parenthesis and integrate it back into the sentence.

It's hard to break that habit

Came here to say this, glad I'm not alone haha. Although maybe the 95% part is a little high.

I'm not sure why I did this so often. I guess I would type up a post, and then worry that it was dumb or possibly just restating things that had already been said. Even the times that I do make it to hitting the post button, I usually can't help but still have those thoughts.

However, one thing that 95% of my posts do contain is the smiley. I've always loved it, and I guess I like adding it in to ensure that people don't interpret the things that I say as super serious or strict. I'm a very upbeat person in real life and I suppose that's hard to convey through text sometimes.

my posts always seem to skip some detail, or have a wording issue i just HATE...
i'd say i have scrapped maybe 10-20% of all posts, and i've omitted huge chunks from others
around half of my posts i question why i wrote, regardless of what reaction they get.
i generally forget the exact details of everything i post, and sometimes, where i posted it

I tend to make all my sentences as long as I feel they can reasonably be (somewhat cheating a little by often adding a couple of bits within brackets like this) which mostly means no more than two commas per sentence (with parts in brackets counting separately. Hell, they can be a couple of short sentences themselves.), resulting in sentences like these which I suspect are quite difficult to read (even when they're not deliberately exaggerated like this one), all the while using language that leaves considerable wriggle room should people disagree like I think I've done here (and sometimes I add one of these bits within brackets at the very end, which makes me unsure whether to place the period before starting this tangent or at the end of it but I usually do the latter.)
