| Decided to crack open the original PC version of PSO to see what cut content was still in the game before the GC version came out.
* The Hildebear Cane, Hildeblue Cane, Baranz Launcher, and S-Red's Blade have tekker images, but the rest of the enemy weapons don't. * bm_boss01_dragon has textures featuring damaged wings for the Dragon boss. * bm_boss1_dragon_b has bump map textures for the Dragon, which go unused in the final game. * The 9-star rare mechguns have different names in the texture files. The M&A60 Vise is called "uzi", the H&S 25 Justice is called "ingway", and the L&K14 Combat is called "combat". * There is an alternate blue texture for the Baranz Launcher that goes unused. * bm_object_city_common contains a small map of the town area and has the words "auction center" underneath it. Perhaps an old name for town? * Spaceship is named "vs1", suggesting it was made before the Temple area was. So far, there doesn't seem to be a lot of unused content in PSO; unusual for a Sonic Team game. Some of this stuff could go on a page at some point, but IMO there should be more research done before doing so. I'd love to crack open the original game for DC, but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be a way to read most of its files. ____________________ ![]() |
