Dad bought me Hacknet after playing the OST for me, and it is SUCH a good game; I beat it within a few hours. You play as a hacker and receive a message from another hacker who died 14 days ago. You need to hack your way through a variety of systems to find out what happened to him, and why he was killed.
So much fun. You play the entire thing interacting with a Unix CLI the majority of the time, but there are GUI elements to click on if you don't remember the commands, or you don't think you'll be quick enough to break into a system. I highly recommend grabbing it, and the OST.

Been playing a lot of Monster Hunter Generations! Game came out two weeks ago and I've been playing non-stop, basically pulled me away from Fire Emblem Fates (which I was playing non-stop since that came out, haha). Almost done the offline solo stuff and I'm in a few groups of people that play online so it's been pretty fun. Been challenging myself to use only the Hunting Horn, too.
Also, if you remember my last post that brought up the Activity Log, I've since taken the time to make a more thorough and updated image!

Been playing a lot of DDR A recently and getting much better than I used to be. Went from having a hard time completing songs with even 2 greats to... well, this.
First time playing the chart too.
I've also gotten pretty good at recognizing spins. I'm probably the only one that cares though, since I see I'm like one of two people that actually play songs with spins and crossovers without playing them like they are from In The Groove where those don't exist.

Dad bought Diablo III on the PS4, so I've been playing a lot of that recently. Got to the very end on the PS3, but never finished it for some reason.
Also grabbed Star Trek Online on the PS4, because why not, it's free. Reached max level on the PC version, so it's nice to start fresh, and also quite remarkable how much it's changed. I joined STO back when it was new and subscription-based, and it's received quite an overhaul after all these years.
And, of course, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. So much better than Human Revolution, and I loved HR.
On the older side, been collecting games on multiple systems, so I finally started playing through Halo. Never finished it the first time I played it, so I'm trying to go for it now.

I found out HTML5 games work on an Android Tablet via the browser (I use chrome) so I've been playing random stuff. If my old PC worked I'd do a bit more experimenting at what I can play since I have both a mouse and keyboard I can use with the tablet.

| Not playing right now, but have been playing recently in the past 2 weeks Transformers Devastation on Steam, which I picked up for a reasonable price during the 4th of July Steam sale. Working towards earning all of the achievements, finding all of the collectibles, and completing Challenge mode. Although the story mode only takes like 4 hours to complete, the game has a lot of replay value with the collectibles etc. It's like the awesome Transformers game we never had, with G1 voice actors, cell-shaded cartoon graphics, giant robot battling hack n' slash action, and rockin' guitars for the music. The ending of the game possibly eludes to a sequel. |

Fucking great, right??
I just finished Spirit of Justice as well, and it's up there with my favorite Ace Attorney games.
Now I'm playing Paper Mario: Color Splash (yes I got it early, don't ask ) and holy shit it is a MASSIVE improvement over Sticker Star, like, in every way.

Got Rez Infinite the day it came out and oh my god, it's amazing how perfect that 15-year old game is. It's pretty quick too; you can beat it in about an hour if you know how to tackle the stages and the bosses. And of course, the music is still amazing.
What astounds me is how beautiful Area X is. It's basically the original Rez Synethesia Engine ported to Unreal Engine 4, and the stuff they did with it is absolutely amazing, as I hope the image in this Tweet attests to. Looks like they made really effective use of Unreal's GPU particles and just generated the entire world out of it. Aside from the lack of Overdrives, it's still completely Rez!
Just a few more trophies left for me to go until I've platinumed it.

I've been playing Color Splash and I love it. I didn't dislike Sticker Star, but I'm having way more fun with this game consistently than I did with Sticker Star. In one green-colored level, I was smiling and giggling the entire time. The humor is top-notch.
For anyone who's been hesitant about picking it up due to their experience with Sticker Star, put it this way: the feelings I got from the best, most creative parts of Sticker Star are the same kind of feelings I get from just about every stage in this game, sometimes more.

I just finished Bravely Second.
Was gud. Not quite as engaging as Bravely Default, but I think the pacing is better for people who aren't me. |
