11,200 square feet of reef ruined.

For those not in the know, Paul Allen is a co-founder of Microsoft. He also had a foundation dedicated to reef protection. I honestly doubt much will happen with him though.

I should point out that the linked article, the equivalent BoingBoing article, and possibly a few others point out that Allen is probably going to get away with it not because he's rich and powerful but because the Cayman Islands government is too corrupt to punish anyone for it. Maybe Allen doing it is what may spark the public outrage needed to end that, though...
