Well, didn't Sakurai say he wanted 2-3 third party characters? So far, there is Snake and Sonic. I'm not saying that Mega Man will be the third, or if there will even be a third, but I'm anxious to find out who it will be... There hasn't been a newcomer since October 25th!

I've asking for that since they had that old site with the comments thing in the japanese version.

Like, there are 4 empty slots, and you download characters from some website with the wii or something.

And if you are bored enough you could even use it to make your own characters, like you make the files, upload them somewhere, and download like you'd download any other character.

Just restrict them so these custom characters can only be used in versus and there you go.

Or, the game will have an unlockable character designer. Could be fun to mess with if they did.

Then again we could wind up with

More evidence to show that Wario is very fat

. I think his overalls are in danger of ripping.

I don't really care if he has his old costume or the one he uses on WarioWare, but at least there is something else for him than Wario-Man.

Tedious? Silly? This is great news. Sakurai has always been big on holding true to characters' identities, and this is just another step in that direction. It in itself may not be all that impressive, but in the larger scope of things, this helps to show just the kind of game director we're working with. This is the kind of news I'd rather see over what new items or chracters will be in.

I actually don't mind this update. I think it's great that they included Wario's classic outfit. A lot of people recognize him that way, moreso than the Warioware outfit. Nice to see they thought about that.

I'm really wondering what they'll do for Christmas, if anything.

Me too!

I like Wario's red color scheme. It makes me think of Wario stealing Mario's old clothes. Then again, Mario does have the color scheme that looks like Wario's.

I never said it was bad. Hell I love the update too. More costumes equal more variety in character customization, even if it is just Wario.

And yes, seeing that Sakurai will go so far as to make Wario look like both his old self and his Warioware self is a very very fine detail that most other game directors would have overlooked.

I don't mind the WarioWare look, but I love the "classic" Wario. 'Tis a great update indeed.

Anyone else notice the screens were all on wintery backgrounds?
