Since we don't have Officer's Club anymore lol

Several weeks ago I was drinking increasingly larger amounts of work coffee and energy drinks until I was actually floored once the workweek ended. It seemed like really bad caffeine withdrawal, and felt like the worst body flu I'd ever had. Hurt to move, moving caused my head to ache insanely, ibuprofen only somewhat helped, stomach acted queasy and I had low appetite. Though then again I was in bed for the entire weekend, and had to take a day off to make sure I could actually work and not starve on my feet.

Okay, so now it's about three weeks later. I've found that drinking any amount of caffeine now caused my body to get fluish. I've checked online but I've found nothing on what this could possibly be. Am I just still fighting off whatever it was that got over me, having latent symptoms three weeks later, or is this something a little more serious? Because I don't remember anything like this happening to me before, and neither have I heard anything similar from anyone else.

Honestly, from what you're describing it sounds like you're still having withdrawl and/or still recovering from what sounds like an actual flu. It can sometimes take weeks to get back to 100%, especially if the illness was severe which you said it was.

So yeah, take care of yourself, slowly wean yourself off high levels of caffeine, don't do anything drastic.

Had caffeine a couple of times this week with little problem. I think today I had a bit of a headache/bodyache after having a bottle of Coke, but other than that it seems like it was withdrawal.
