Art of Fighting (Neo-Geo) has a bit of unused text. I also found some text that goes with Robert's unused voice sample... and an unused "SNK HOME ENTERTAINMENT,INC." string after "SNK CORPORATION" and "SNK CORP.OF AMERICA"

SNK Home Entertainment was the original name of SNK's US branch.

MAME, changing the BIOS to the Universal BIOS and changing the region to US and console.
Hint:
Tab > Bios Selection > Universal Bios (Hack, Ver 3.1) > Reset
Hold A+B+C (Buttons 1+2+3) when you see the Universal Bios boot screen > Region Setup > USA + Console
Then press C (Button 3) to exit.

The infamous Bebe's Kids has a hidden audio sample in it: a sample of the "Too Black" part of Malcolm X's "Too Black, Too Strong" quote.

The final boss' music uses an audio sample of the "Too Strong" part (and very repetitively, I might add), suggesting that they initially planned to use both the "Too Black" AND "Too Strong" samples like Sonic Rush did. Most likely, the "Too Black" part was a bit too racial for Nintendo.

Seems like there's some unheard music in an arcade game by Exidy called Venture:

Just a month ago, I hacked the equally old arcade game Venture (1981) to permit me to listen to the entirety of its intro music, which normally gets cut off before the end. This makes me and the original composer the only two people to ever have heard it.

In Bubsy II (Genesis), at 0x2BC0D there's a string that reads 'THIS SPOT INTENTIONALLY LEFT BLANK' amongst the minigame text.

Not sure if maybe there's perhaps something there? Or maybe it's actually used and I just missed it.

Excel files for translation isn't really odd, it's actually surprisingly common since it keeps all the strings in one place and can be exported with (relative) ease. Leaving it in the game is weird, though!
