Don't get me wrong, I've had a lot of fun playing PSO2, but there's been many people who've felt that the game "just isn't PSO", not only this but some people have felt that gameplay in PSO2 in general is just too repetitive in terms of the consistent grinding (which personally I like), the combat system (which honestly is just questionable in general with the way it works, especially on gamepads), and it's "Pay for Convenience" model.

If you were to really play PSO2, I'd suggest to play with caution for grinding. (and play the JP version and not the Southeast Asia / Asiasoft version)

I will say though, the fact that you reeeally need premium to trade with other users SUCKS, you shouldn't have to pay for one of the basic human interactions! hahahaha

Actually, there was a time I did manage to get a syndrome... just not here. It was like 300 posts in a day IIRC and oh boy.

It's worth noting I got burned out at some point after that and I didn't really attempt to do that thing again many times after. Good experience though.

I used to try to play it myself, but that was about a year ago by now I'd think. Pretty sure my attempts to play were rather very, very short-lived anyhow. Bet I wasn't even level 6. Maybe if I ever find a good reason to DL it again maybe I'd try once more. But the time is not now, I'm sure.

Incidentally, they recently added some content from the original PSO. There are some original costumes such as HUmar, stickers for each of PSO's colored section emblems, and you can change your team room to be the Pioneer II, albeit devoid of NPCs. Sadly, there is no Pioneer II lobby music to go with it.

Heard of PSO way back when, but I never did pick it up. The servers are shut down though (for the Dreamcast and the GameCube). I didn't hear about PSO2 before, but I think the Dreamcast and GameCube games might have something too.

Even without online mode, the GameCube version of PSO is really fun, especially if you have someone to play multiplayer with. (An MMO with split-screen co-op!?)

Even though Sega added a ton of unnecessary stuff and overly-sexualized outfits, PSO2 is still a fun game at it's core, not just a social grindfest, and you can enjoy it even without other people to play with.

PSO on the GameCube can connect to private servers, I think? Though there isn't much point in that unless you're super-hardcore into it.

"Pure spam" in this case is just posting without even reading previous posts. If you're playing a game, by all means; the silly forum is meant to just goof around. As long as you keep posts in the other forums at some level of quality, you're good.
