It's really annoying, everytime I scroll down in IE, the header seems to wipe itself off.

It's probably just an IE6 issue, and I'm the only Briton/non-loopy person in the world who uses that browser. And the only active IE6 user on the board.

Not all the time, but most of the time, it happens. I have to keep refreshing or typing in the address bar.
Shame, IE6 is one of the best browsers around for visiting any AcmlmBoard forum.

The ads don't disappear, but everything up to the breadcrumbs, do.

And don't moan I use IE6 or TIFF image format... both do their job...

As Xkeeper said above, you're not only using a browser known to be unstable and unreliable, but also severely outdated and abandoned by all most people on Earth. Did you expect it to render Jul without any glitches?

KLayout v3.1
Windows XP can only run IE versions up to 8. IE8, on its own, is slow and horrible to use.

Windows XP can still run Firefox and Chrome, even though (Firefox in particular) they are becoming more RAM hogs.

It's your choice. Also, this page can be helpful.

Oh, about those, I also have Midori installed on my computer in case something goes terribly wrong with Opera. It works very well, very well since it supports many HTML5/CSS features and supports plugins, except for the ocassional slowdown that might happen from time to time, but it still uses next to no resources on my computer. It should work for you too if there's still support for Windows XP.

If Safari doesn't cut it, then you still have four other alternatives right on that page, and many more on the rest of the net.

Yes, OK. I have opera and firefox already, both are sometimes slow as IE8 could be, for some reason.

Also this is becoming a place for that staple person to insult my choice of web browser, so this could be trashed, please?

I don't have a USB stick at the moment, but I'd like to use Mint or Debian.
I'm on a netbook, so Vista/7/etc wouldn't work.
