I noticed that the Wiki lacked an Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion page. I'd love to look into the files, but my 3DS is past the firmware update and I'm not entirely sure how I'd go about finding out the key to fix that.

I have the EncryptedRomFS file, but is this as far as I can go without the 3DS console? Is there maybe someone who could extract them for me so I can examine the files?

As far as handling encrypted ROMs, your 3DS can't do much unless you are able to run something like RxTools. That requires firmware 9.2 or lower. I think I remember seeing ways to decrypt ROMs without RxTools but it still involves having a lower level firmware 3DS.

I've never done it before so there may be stuff I'm leaving out since I'm not an expert in this subject. I did like a 2 second search. Google is your best friend here. gbatemp is also where you will find a lot of information.

As far as adding an Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion page, feel free to once you are able to dig into the files (however that may be).

A new exploit was just released for newer system software (Ninjihax 2.0). That might mean you can take advantage of the 3DS's decryption stuff on newer system software.

EDIT:
And if all else fails, you could possibly request something on a certain 3DS rom site (or elsewhere).

I used the article on the Citra emulator wiki earlier this year to dump and decrypt all my games, although that requires a 3DS with at most system version 9.2 (to be able to use the Gateway launcher). It worked well for me, but if you've updated past that system version that won't work of course.

Once you have a decrypted ROM, you can use ctrtool to extract the romfs and poke around for interesting files.

Thanks all. The GBATemp tutorial was the one I was using, but like I said, I got caught out when it came to the firmware update unfortunately.

I'll be sure to check these other programs out and hopefully get those files. If I do manage to find anything, my first stop will be adding it to the wiki!
