I was messing around with a bootleg version of Street Fighter II CE and decided to look at the tilemap in MAME, and this popped up in E. Honda's stage. The second and third character -look- like Japanese to me but I don't recognize the others. Edit: This is present in the very first SFII revision so it's been there for a while. ____________________  |

| I'll do my best, but some of these are incomplete sentences. I also haven't played the game, so lack of context will render some of these translations less accurate.
This character speaks in a somewhat archaic, and very respectful way, which I've tried to preserve in my translations. I hope these at least give you some idea of whether this was used or not. There are also some empty quotes here that would probably have been filled in with a name from the game. I've simply copied the empty quotes into my English translations. Incomplete sentences are marked with [something] in the translations where information was not in the original (rendering it a partial sentence). the encoding on the forum is not set for legacy reasons and is generally "whatever your browser decides to default to today". unfortunately some people post unicode, some post shift-jis, some post some weird mix and everything goes to shit. ____________________ |

Art of Fighting 3 has these Kanji in its graphic files. I looked and couldn't find where these would be used.
Please ignore any markings on the pink areas, I added those because those are reused tiles from other parts of the tileset. Anyone have any idea what this is supposed to say? ____________________ |
