| I'm more shocked than depressed right now. I know he had health issues the last few years but it kind of came out of nowhere. I thought people were trolling me when I first read about it.

This struck me as I woke up yesterday. That was a punch to the stomach.
Those Nintendo Directs and Iwata Asks certainly made the man appealing. And then I watched his GDC 2005 keynote a few months ago. He certainly felt like he loved programming and games. I nearly cried yesterday. And today after seeing so much fanart, that was the final blow for me. And his last message for us was him apologizing for this year's Nintendo Digital Event, which felt lacking but certainly wasn't the worst. Nintendo is my childhood, and having this kind of news over someone I respect feels really bad. I didn't feel this way for Yamauchi. I feel like I'm typing shit. Rest in peace, Satoru Iwata. ____________________
