I'm really only excited for The Last Guardian, but Sony fucking knocked it out of the park as far as pleasing fans goes.

Shenmue 3 broke Kickstarter. People were pining so hard for that.

Well... The Sony Conference was a thing. I'd imagine someone at Sony sat down and said "We need to break NeoGAF as many times as possible.". Cue them managing to pull off 3 HIGHLY UNEXPECTED MEGATONS. I don't think we'll ever have a Conference as large as that ever again.

Nintendo was pretty good, but it seems like the response to it was heavily diluted by Sony announcing all of the highly requested stuff at the same time. Star Fox actually being developed by Platinum was pretty huge, the Paper Mario x Mario and Luigi crossover was completely unexpected, and so was the Skylanders x Amiibo thing.

Honestly, while it wasn't going to beat last year, Nintendo this year was a bit of a letdown.

Also - Chibi Metroid. Not...exactly my choice of artstyle.

I never thought I'd see a crossover between Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi, but I love it already. It's clearly more like Dream Team than any Paper Mario game, but I love how they're mixing the elements together.


Amiibo costumes in Super Mario Maker! I very much want to play as little pixel Isabelle.


Also, the new Zelda game lets Link wear Zelda's dress.

The game reminds me of Metroid Prime Hunters which already puts it at a disadvantage for me. MPH was garbage outside of the multiplayer. Multiplayer isn't what defines a Metroid game to me anyway.

Not that I was hoping for any type of Metroid this E3 but this kind of cements the idea that 2D style Metroids are dead.

Nintendo didn't do anything new or surprising. We knew Starfox was coming. We knew Fire Emblem was coming. We knew Ryu and Roy were coming before the Sunday thing. And the stuff we didn't know was coming didn't have as much of an impact as fucking Final Fantasy VII Remake or Shenmue 3. Not even Earthbound Beginnings was surprising enough, and honestly that should have been introduced in the event, not as a "Oh the NWC is about to start, here's this."

PC Gamer had plenty of stuff showing on the PC Gaming Show.

Tripwire Interactive revealed their Rising Storm 2: Vietnam game based off of Red Orchestra 2 (hopefully it will run a modified engine such as using a heavily modified Killing Floor 2 engine as RO2's base optimization was inconsistent).

I haven't checked much else but Star Citizen showed some mo-cap. Not that I may be playing that unless I get a beastly rig with a GTX 980 (or dare I say the 980 Ti) as I'm currently stuck with a GTX 750 Ti.

They also showed Total War: Warhammer, a new Arma 3 terrain (nothing fancy on that), a full trailer of Nexon's Dirty Bomb (why when it's in Open Beta since this month is beyond me), and a Guild Wars 2 expansion. You can see them on the PC Gamer channel on YouTube if you missed them.
