E3 has changed a lot this year, namely, EVERYONE HAS AN E3 CONFERENCE NOW. Bethesda, Square, the entire PC gaming market. Making sure that you are going to be spending the whole weekend watching conferences. Megatons might be dropped in at least one of them. So you'll have to watch them all. SCHEDULE
(Stolen from Neogaf) Weirdly, it doesn't include the Nintendo World Championships, which starts at 3PM PT (6PM Eastern!). PREDICTIONS Microsoft >Battletoads is coming, is Rare's smaller title, and will most likely launch this year as a digital only game. >Rare's big title is most likely a new IP that isn't a Kinect game. Hopefully it ends up being good. >That 1TB Xbox one Console with the new Controller Amazon leaked will definitely be announced, also, it's going to be released the same day as the conference. >Scalebound will get a gameplay demo and release date. Most likely late this year. >Phantom Dust is most likely dead, though they obviously wouldn't confirm it got cancelled during the conference. >The Gears Of War remaster will definitely get confirmed. Definitely coming out this year. >Crackdown will get another CG trailer, with a release date of late next year. But at least we'll know who the devs are! >Rock Band 4 will probably be the multiplatform game Microsoft moneyhats for timed exclusive content. Considering how close friends they are with Harmonix. >Forza 6 will definitely get a trailer, and a full release date. >Quantum Break will get a new gameplay demo + Release Date, and the "surprise" announcement of an Alan Wake remaster for Xbox One. Available for free to everyone who pre-orders Quantum Break. Sony >The yearly tradition of showing off an overly long gameplay demo of the latest Call Of Duty game will be passed into Sony's hands this time. >Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is definitely getting a gameplay trailer, might segue into a gameplay demo for Uncharted 4 if we're lucky. >The Order: 1886 will get a sequel. Might not be revealed at E3 though. >There's going to be a big Indie highlight reel like last year, expect the Shadow of the Beast reimagining to be awkwardly moved into it. Oh, and maybe CamDrome. Assuming the latest yearly tease will finally lead to something. (I doubt it's a PS4 exclusive though, or even funded by Sony.) >Horizon (That secret project Guerrilla games is working on) will most likely be revealed. I have a feeling it won't come out this year. >No Man's Sky will be back, with a release date and a beta for everyone who went to the theater experience. Expect negative impressions thanks to how overhyped it's gotten. >Wipeout is coming back on PS4. Probably developed by Sony Bend. >Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will get one last gameplay demo (Most likely of Metal Gear Online, considering we haven't seen much of it.) as the game gears up towards launch. >The Last Guardian WILL NOT get shown, no matter how hard you pray to the Team Ico gods. Nintendo >Roy will be revealed as DLC for Smash 4, right at the beginning, launching Next Month. >Also, Ryu will be revealed, at the very end of the conference as the usual "one more thing", launching in August. >Speaking of Smash, Downloadable stages will be happening, released in packs of 3. and with completely different packs for both the Wii U and 3DS versions of the game. The first 3DS pack will most likely have Dreamland 64, Ryu's stage from Street Fighter II, and one other stage i don't feel like guessing. >Star Fox will finally get a gameplay trailer. Launching late this year. >Project Giant Robot is going to completely separate from Star Fox as a small downloadable title. Project Guard, on the other hand, will be merged with Star Fox. >Mother and Mother 3 are finally coming to Virtual console. IN JAPAN ONLY. Don't worry though, cause a couple of months later, Mother will come to the US, as a slightly modified version of the English proto. Mother 3 would then come a couple of months after that, with a new translation made by Nintendo themselves. >Zelda will finally get a full title and a trailer, launching mid Next Year. >Mario Maker will be revealed to have a Sprite editor for making custom graphics, with premade custom spritesets themed after other Nintendo games also being included. Alongside a Music editor for making custom music, and a basic logic editor for making custom objects/enemies (Mario himself, however, will be limited to the 4 previously announced Gameplay types as "custom" logic, alongside the newly revealed at the conference Mario Bros 2 gameplay type. You also can't make new Powerups.) >Splatoon's Ika Musume costumes will stay in Japan. We in the US, however will receive exclusive Spongebob costumes. Launching the same day as the Ika Musume stuff. Europe won't get anything. >Pokken Tournament will be confirmed to be receiving a Wii U port early next year. With 3 new characters and Amiibo support (With a new line of Pokemon Amiibo revealed specifically for the game. Available as cards only.) added. >Project X Zone 2 will get a new trailer + Release Date. >Retro's new project will be revealed, and it will be a 2.5D Metroid game for 3DS. Launching early next year. >Animal Crossing Wii U is finally happening, launching late this year with Amiibo support (Both those Animal Crossing cards and the Smash Bros Amiibo will work. The latter unlocking in-game clothing.) Everyone else >Watch_Dogs 2 is happening unfortunately, and the series will be Ubisoft's new yearly franchise. >Beyond Good & Evil 2 isn't happening either, so pack that up. >We'll finally get to see that Gameplay demo of Doom 4 shown privately at Quakecon last year. >Also, Fallout 4 Gameplay demo. Release Date won't be confirmed though. >To cap those 2 major Beth conference things, they'll also reveal Dishonored 2. >EA's conference will be the same junk as before, maybe we'll get a new Mirror's Edge 2 trailer if we're lucky, but it'll mostly just be SPORTS SPORTS SPORTS. >I'm also not really expecting much out of the PC gaming show either. Microsoft will probably drop a few smaller titles coming to the Windows 10 store, and Devolver will definitely have a cool new indie. But it will mostly be just fluff. >And finally, Half-Life 3 is almost certainly not getting announced, stop asking for it. ________________________________________________________________________________________________ So with that, it's time to post YOUR predictions. Edit: i forgot to add the most important prediction. Taco Bell will be introducing the Quesalupa (or revealing the nationwide release date for it) a few days before the main conference quadrant (June 15th). Because they tend to introduce major new Menu items around E3 time. I'm not kidding. ____________________ |
