| While looking in the ISO for X-Men Legends, I found a clip I don't believe was in the final game, and another I would assume is used for the bad end (But I never lost the final battle, so I'm not sure from experience is used.) one was marked "r311.sfd," VLC game me picture but no audio (which from what I've read is typical of the format on most players.) It featured the newscaster used in several other clips, but with a different model. It had a view of her having a breakdown while it was going static (analog fuzz effect, so it was intentional.) another was of Asteroid M crashing into Manhattan. A bit of the Ending clip of small bits crashing into buildings was used beforehand. Has anyone else seen either of these clips or know how to make the audio useable? |

| Try uploading it to YouTube, sometimes it works. |

That did it. Dialog is "It's been confirmed, the asteroid is headed for Manhattan Island, and may God have mercy on our souls! Oh my God-!" |

The format is the Sega video format, I believe. I managed to use "SFD to MPEG" to convert a few videos from Sonic Adventure 2 Battle.
the weirdest part abut this thread is I JUST came across somecallmejohnny's review. |

Sofdec is a variant of MPEG so -some- programs can play the videos, but the audio may be broken or it might not be possible to seek the video. Youtube seems to handle it fine.

| Yeah, I read Sofdek files were MPEG-2 Video with some proprietary audio codec. Finding the conversion software for it was a pain. But regarding this file, it's interesting because it's not near the compressed bitrate of the other videos on the disk and completely absent from at least the PS2 version. I didn't find any documentation saying anyone found something like it, so I thought I'd bring it here. |
