So I figured that due to the sheer volume of WWE games out there, a big megathread detailing all of them would help condense all the information together. Hope this allows a lot of people to come forward with their findings!

I noticed a lot of the Yukes WWE games detailed on the wiki had fairly minimal content (Here Comes the Pain and the 2 PS1 Smackdown games are the only ones with a lot of material so far), so I decided to purchase a few cheap copies of some of the PS2 era games and see for myself if any sufficient unused content was present in them, particularly pertaining to cut characters. I first tried Just Bring It, and to my surprise, discovered unused commentary announcements for at least 38 (yes, really) superstars which were cut from the game, or at the very least considered early in development.
The vast majority of them were characters present in SmackDown 2 that were removed here for whatever reason, but there are also a few didn't end up in either game. I'll be uploading all of the specific audio clips onto a new wiki page once they're all ripped (trust me, there's a LOT of them), but for now, here's a list of Just Bring It's cut superstars:

This is only really a preliminary post, and I intend to look into Shut Your Mouth & Here Comes the Pain soon enough, as well as listen out for themes & titantrons pertaining to cut wrestlers as well. If anybody else has any new information pertaining to WWE games not yet on the wiki (or those that are but have details not yet documented), please feel free to post your findings here!

I've been meaning to post this on the PS1 WWF War Zone section, but there's actually an FMV viewer in the game!

I'm just lazy and copying this off of GameFAQs, but I've known about the code for years.

Up, Triangle, Right, O, Down, X, Left, Square, Up Triangle, Right, O, Down, X, Left, Square, Up, Triangle, O, Down, Sqaure, Left, Square, L2 + R2, L1 + R1, L2 + R2

Though at least on the copy I used, when you return to the title screen after viewing a video, everything's black for some odd reason. I'm guessing it was one of those things that was easier to access in development and then they just put a more complicated code input in to sort of "dummy it out" but not dummy it out.

Very interesting. I look forward to hearing more from your WWF/E game investigations, particularly the PS1 and PS2 games. And I'd love to see you look into unused content in WCW games as well, if you're up for it.

I don't have the technical skills or time to check everything in as much depth like you are, but I did do some quick browsing through the audio files of WCW Mayhem a while back and I know theres a ton of unused commentary ringnames in there. Mostly generic/create-a-wrestler ones but a huge amount of them aren't used (or selectable for create-a-wrestlers) anywhere in the game as far as I can recall. Not sure if there's any unused real wrestler ringnames in there, to be honest my memories are a bit vague as to which superstars were in the game anyway. I have an incomplete list of transcriptions of the commentary files somewhere on my computer, let me know if you want me to send it to you.

Also on a side note, I always thought the commentary system in WCW Mayhem was really good and ahead of it's time, but it's not till I looked at the sheer amount of commentary lines in the game's audio files that I truly appreciated how much work went into it - there is over 9000 (lol at the meme reference - but seriously there is!) individual snippets of commentary in there! Amazing when you consider it's a PS1 game, and the WWF Smackdown games didn't even have full commentary until the PS2 ones, and even then the commentary systems didn't work anywhere near as fluidly or realistically as WCW Mayhem, in my opinion.

Anyway, I wouldn't be surprised if there was unused textures/models/graphics/music in WCW Mayhem as well, if anyone has the skills and time to look around. It was only the PS1 version I looked at by the way.

Also to get you started on Smackdown 2 - it's pretty well known that Big Show and Ken Shamrock are in the game but only appear via glitches or something IIRC.

If you could look into Wrestlemania 2000, I distinctly remember a Gameshark code that unlocked a certain cut chant from the audience. I'm guessing it was a bit too rated M for a T rated game.

That game has loads of cut content, and most of those things are usually covered. I've only seen the 'AH' chant once on an old site in the early 2000s. It was definitely legit, though, and stood out from the other cut content, which is why I'm puzzled as to why it's not been discussed more. Unless I dreamed the whole thing up.

Sorry, I meant to include this in the last post.

I was wondering if every asset from WWF Attitude was examined. I remember very clearly that Owen Hart's Blue Blazer costume was supposed to be in the game, but removed due to the circumstances surrounding his death. I've wondered for years if 'removed' meant removed entirely, as in not a trace remaining, or if it meant made very difficult to find. Sixteen years later and it's still a messy issue, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's all gone. Still, I've always wondered.

No. I stopped listening to the audio files after the commentary. So there's 7800 more wrestler grunts/comments/taunts/crowd chants/crowd comments (starting at 4651 in PSound) for someone to listen to.

I'm pretty sure I checked everything else, but I might have missed it. If you want to look it's literally a matter of pressing the 'scan directory' button in PSicture and pointing it at the Data directory to see all the wrestler/caw textures.

It's also only the PlayStation version, there may be other leftovers in the N64 and Dreamcast versions, but I've no idea how nor any inclination to look into those.

There's a guy on YouTube that has a lots of prerelease footage of wrestling games from the N64 era, although there's a little footage of WMXIX there too.

That said: I'm not 100% sure if he's implying that he has a copy of at least one of these prerelease versions or what. Some things are obviously footage from older sources that aren't him, but other videos and screenshots seem to be too high of a resolution to be the case. I say that because these games all came out between about '97 and '01, so any prerelease footage would be of a lower quality due to technological restrictions of their time. Namely, low bandwidth being the norm, and VHS being used to occasionally distribute special prerelease footage

So, make of it what you will.

Necromancing here, but WWF No Mercy contains an unused Spinaroonie taunt from WCW/nWo Revenge. I imagine it contains a lot of things from the previous games though.
