I just went to the tcrf wiki today and it seems to be down. All pages give me a 404 except for the main which says "nginx!" and nothing else. Was it hacked?

I think that's just you having this problem. I also checked TCRF, no problems. Maybe you should clear your browser's cookies?

I've had the nginx! issue when just typing in "tcrf.net", and using "www.tcrf.net" seems to work properly.

I tested this on Midori, and, well...

The www.tcrf.net domain is working at the very least. I don't know why, but any browser except for Opera is doing this (Internet Explorer, Midori, Google Chrome (or a lightweight spin-off called Torch, anyways)), but even if I clean my cookies, Opera will not display the nginx! thing...this is weeeeird.

Seems to be the same here. I'll have to update my bookmark.

So, apperently, when you type tcrf.net into the address bar, it goes to http://tcrf.net instead of https://tcrf.net. The HTTP domain is not being used...so it kind of got glitched out. The HTTPS domain is where TCRF is located at right now. Because I updated my bookmarks on Opera to use the HTTPS domain, they automatically go to the correct website now. This wasn't a issue when HTTPS was first implemented.

I get there just fine. I'm using chrome on a tablet. Whenever I type tcrf.net into the address bar the browser automatically loads the https site just fine.

I should have mentioned that, apperently, some browsers (mostly Chromium-based) are auto-redirecting to the HTTPS domain. Internet Explorer, for example, isn't. I thought that only Opera was doing this because of the bookmarks I have, but apperently no.

Going to http://tcrf.net responds with HTTP 307 ("temporary redirect" or "internal redirect") to the HTTPS version of the site. Opera handles it correctly, IE 11 doesn't seem to...

I don't know how the redirect is handled on the server side but HTTP 301 might be a better choice(?)

- http://tcrf.net and http://www.tcrf.net should both redirect to https://tcrf.net
- https://www.tcrf.net should redirect to http://tcrf.net
- HTST is enabled, so your browser should redirect you to https:// any time you try to access a *.tcrf.net domain

I find it very odd that anybody is getting "nginx!".

Or maybe not, if somehow a) you have never been to TCRF before since the HTTPS upgrade or b) your browser sucks and doesn't support HTST.

server {

listen 80;
server_name new.tcrf.net www.tcrf.net;
rewrite ^ https://tcrf.net$request_uri? permanent;

}

No "tcrf.net" there. Oops.

I was making some changes a few days ago to handle http://www.tcrf.net, which some people use (why). It wasn't accounted for in a secure-redirect vhost, so it was defaulting to the stats one, which uses a different cert and, well, didn't work. Oops

I just tested it in elinks and http://tcrf.net should take you to the right place now, without issue.
