I'm finally working on trying to get back in.

Remember how I used to make those art stores back in the old server days? Nothing has changed except my space has become more standardized! I sorta wanna come back and just do that.

I've got FtB and I'm trying to figure out all this modpack stuff on my own. I never use mods normally in MC, soooooo...

FtB has been retired in favor of Technic Launcher, as it provides more freedom to customize the modpack. Same world, (mostly) same mods, new method of delivery.

Head to the IRC channel linked in the first post to get the modpack URL and server info. The post should be updated soon with the new stuff.

I miss playing on Sukasa's server, back in the day when it was vanilla.
Does anybody have Map2 or Map3? Or the big rendered maps of them? Or any screenshots? I'd like to collect stuff before it disappears forever. I thought they were up for download at some point when we were starting the next map, but I can't find any post about that. Sukasa doesn't have them. Maybe Xkeeper has any backups?


I will dig up my stuff as well and share. It'd be a shame to have everything disappear to the sands of time. We had a lot of fun and I hate stuff going away.

EDIT: For reference,
Map2 was mostly creative, it had the Night Mines, and the city with a bank at spawn later on.
Map3 was mostly survival, there was this base at spawn and a significant skyway built later on.
Map4 I only played at the beginning of, but I'd like it as well. I think this was near the spawn.

If I do happen to get ahold any of the maps, I'll set them up permanently as view-only on my server.

You know, if you guys still do have the maps, I could do some nice renderings of some of the structures. All I'd need is a model file exported with Mineways.

I don't know if I have any of this stuff still, but I will check, I guess. Considering that for a brief while I hosted backups of those servers, you never know.

Ugh. I browsed around but couldn't find anything easily. I know I have to have them somewhere, though. I'll keep looking.

On a side note, is there any interest in a (mostly) vanilla server? Mostly with some QOL fixes to make life suck less than anything, and a no-reset promise.

I'm up for hosting this, if there's interest. I've ran a wipe-free mostly vanilla server since 2011. I've recently had to upgrade it from Bukkit to Spigot for 1.8, so I'm up to date on management too.

Pretty much, along with making singleplayer act like a local multiplayer server.


I usually play singleplayer on the last Alpha version. Simplicity feels good.

I would very much be up for that! One of the big hurdles that prevented me from playing with you guys in the past was when you started requiring a ton of mods.

I actually prefer vanilla Minecraft to having lots of mods, anyway.

Also, what kind of map is going to be used? I much prefer playing on a map that is somewhat challenging to build on. Plain flat maps are boring as fuck.

We're still hammering out the details but it looks like for the moment:

- I'd prefer a large map with lots of variation (i.e. areas with a lot of big mountains and other stuff, but also the occasional flat plain if you wanna build something big w/o taking forever)

- Hunger not doing much besides lowering your max health if you ignore it (basically Easy mode)

- Sprinting not requiring hunger at all, so go fast all you fucking want

Ideally it'd also be neat to double the occurrence of natural resources like coal/iron/etc. but I don't know how feasible that is

Hunger will be okay with me as long as it doesn't cause death.


Doubling the spawn rate for ores would also be interesting (although coal would take ages to mine, it already takes a little while to mine a normal-sized ore). IIRC you can do that if you generate a custom map and tweak the right parameters. There are also parameters for the heights the ores will appear at, etc...

I think it's an option during terrain generation, though I don't know the details myself, especially if you also wanna mix amplified terrain and regular terrain. (I'd recommend against just using amplified terrain, having to generate/render all the complex land and shadows and stuff could be a bit taxing for some computers.)

I personally don't mind the hunger mechanics, though it not depleting as you run would definitely be nice. On Easy it only depletes to 5 hearts; on Normal it depletes up to half a heart. If we're preventing starvation from killing us, could we at least still set the server difficulty to Hard?
