Even if it's a short game, I always seem to return playing Wario Land 4.

This time on Super Hard Mode. Honestly, it isn't that bad.

I've decided to dig up Pikmin and play it, since I've never actually completed it. I made an attempt a year and half ago, but the memory card suddenly corrupted when I got about halfway through the game and I lost interest. Hopefully, this one will be better

Decided to finally play 'The Sum of all Fears' (PS2) yesterday. I was putting it off since i knew very well how unpopular it was and for good reason too.

Bad controls, no jumping, stupid AI, invincible everything (even cardboard boxes) etc, the list goes for miles.

P.S. Its been a while since i posted. Its not because i forgot about this place, i just forgot Jul worked on my old Wii (don't have a PC atm).

Played some matches of Depth which was a total conversion mod for Unreal Tournament 3 turned stand-alone. Basically Sharks vs. Divers where the divers have to escort a robot named S.T.E.V.E. to gather treasure while the sharks have to protect their turf by wiping out the divers. Since the update last week I played the Megalodon Hunt gametype with a friend which kinda works like the Juggernaut mode from the Halo games.

Also, Depth was led by Alex Quick, known for Killing Floor fame.

I just finished playing it, but for the past week I've been playing Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker. Everything about the game is so adorable.

Despite the fact that most of the enemies and some features are recycled from Super Mario 3D World, they managed to make it feel fresh. Goombas are now suddenly dangerous foes and Boos are practically jokes unless you're crazy enough to turn off your head lamp.

LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT ZIGGURAT

It is basically a first person shooter roguelike/lite/whateverthisfuckinggenreis about completing a test to be a powerful wizard and it is extremely fast paced and tons of fun.

Instead of ammo, it is mana for spells (generally your shotgun type), staves (higher firepower), or alchemy (EXPLOSIONS) and you always have a wand with infinite ammo that is very weak. After collection enough knowledge orbs, you level up and can select two perks to help you such as more mana or item attraction or even bargain with the Grim Reaper for health. There are even shrines that you can sacrifice health, mana, or nothing at all and hope to get benefits... but you always have a chance for a negative effect on any of them; I once sacrificed health and got literally nothing, and another time didn't sacrifice anything and some of the rooms in that floor had to be cleared again.

A single run can take about 45 minutes to an hour, but man it is pretty intense. After dying you unlock random perks and weapons that you can find in the next run, and there is a TON of them. I have played 4-5 runs so far and completed it once, and I don't think I'm even 1/3rd of the way to unlocking them all.

If you like games like Binding of Isaac and want it in a more FPS way (that isn't Tower of Guns which is also great) then you should play this.

Because I sure as hell am.

last attempt was about six hours, in-game (was something like eight hours RTA iirc)

this time should be quite a lot faster, instructions are a bit more clearer and i have more experience with the more intricate glitches now

I always play Tetris when I need to spend a little time but not too much. Also a little bit of Super Mario Sunshine now and then.

But as of lately, I'm mostly playing one of my favorite games: Densha de GO! Professional ( 電車でGO!プロフェッショナル ) a japanese arcade train simulator. I'm trying to see if I can beat all of the stages, but its going to be difficult (stupid 4/5 difficulty stages) since this game is very difficult to beat, but at least it isn't unfair. I understand all of the game's mechanics thanks to a little program called Tagaini Jisho. It helped a lot with translating all of the japanese text I needed.

Sold my soul to the dark side and bought the Mass Effect Trilogy on Origin. Didn't want to deal with the PS3 version any more when it looks so much better on PC. Plus, Pinnacle Station is actually a thing on the PC version. Pretty cheap too, only £20 for the Trilogy, including the Digital Deluxe edition of ME2.

Trying to get through this game again... not sure why I stopped last time, it's quite fun, though, a bit tedious and overwhelming at times.

Played some Saints Row IV co-op with my cousin while the series is under the Steam Free Weekend. It's a good port overall, with the only hitch in the port being cinematics capped at 30FPS. FOV is console-ish but can be modded with a third-party FOV changer.

My friend helped me set up a Sega account, so I've been playing Phantasy Star Online 2 with him, with the help of the PSO2 Tweaker and English patches. It's fun, but it feels like Sega tried their best to make it as complex as possible while somehow making the levels more linear.

Ohhhh man. When you get to ME3, you better have the Citadel DLC ready to play by late-game.

I'm close to finishing up ME3--I have one or two more missions to go. It's been a fantastic run!

Played some Altis Life for Arma 3 which is a roleplay mod in the Altis region. There are some cases where you have to join a forum and apply to be whitelisted (Arma 3 Life, and Life Revolution for example) since most of the non-whitelisted servers have a little RDM/VDM. I did spot a player violating the new life rule by retrieving his stuff that he dropped on death but fortunately witnesses recorded it as evidence so someone will get a rude awakening if he logs back in. Other than that, it's a nice diversion away from those zombie survival (Epoch and Breaking Point) and last player standing (Battle Royale) mods.

Quite a bit of Avernum: Escape From the Pit, with the Remix mod.

Good game. The world's quite open and doesn't usually stop you from doing things out of order on main or side quests (I've taken on several where I talked to the questgiver/destination NPC again and told him I already killed the guy/got the thing), but if you go to the wrong place when you're not prepared, a squad of ogres might just turn you into paste.

So basically, classic RPG goodness. My party's a dual-wielder (Zerrick), a spear-wielding priestess (Irene), an archer (Colette), and a mage (Anathen). General procedure is that the mage nukes the crowds, the priestess keeps everyone alive, and the physical types murder the bosses.

Approaching the endgame quests, want to get my spellcasters spellbooks filled out a bit better and maybe see if I can track down a unique bow for Colette (Zerrick's got three special swords, one's a backup for elemental issues, and Irene's got a Molten Halberd that she never uses)

Finally got Hyrule Warriors recently so I've been playing it a lot. Just beat Legend mode! So I guess now I need to blaze through the last 95% of the game.

Link's by far my strongest character, mostly because he has such fun weapons. Master Sword is nice and balanced, Fire Rod's fun and flashy, and the Gauntlets are all-around strong. I'm hoping to clear the regular Adventure map as well as the Master Quest map by the time the Majora's Mask DLC comes out over here (February 5th). I've been surprised at how much I've liked some of the characters after playing with 'em for just a bit; Ghirahim is surprisingly silly with all his daggers and Midna's very mobile and able to easily kite enemies.

My favorite's probably still Zelda's Baton though (ie, the Wind Waker).

I bought Elite: Dangerous and it is pretty awesome! It's interesting being thrown out of supercruise and having to fight whoever knocked you out.
