I'm trying to change the colors of some of the characters from mario tennis 64 by modifying the rom, but I have no idea where the palette data for each character is. I figured the data would be nearby the data of the textures for the characters, but when I searched through the rom with tile molester I could not find any relevant graphics. I'm wondering if anyone knows how I should go about finding the palette data?

Since it's an N64 game, I'd assume it uses textures, though the color format i don't know. That is for you to investigate. Answers aren't served to you on a silver platter.

Yeah, stated that in my OP.

Wtf? I was hoping for some guidance, not just demanding a direct answer. Clearly if everyone on here acts the way you do, I'm better off asking for help elsewhere.

Sorry, didn't read the entire thing Still don't think that the textures use a palette, but they could be compressed.

I was originally not going to reply since I had no idea as I don't have any experience messing with N64 games, but anywho

I know SM64 is pretty well documented; maybe you can look at where mario's palette is in relation to his model in that game and look for similar data/location in a hex editor in the Mario Tennis rom?

That is a terrible response to a perfectly acceptable question, and I'd prefer you not post here if that's all you have to offer.

Sorry, won't happen again. I just didn't understand the question, and I thought he wanted a direct answer. I apologize for the terrible response.
