I don't know, I logout and I still see my username in the "currently logged in" list. Is that common, supposed to happen, thing I'm too stupid to know about?

Usernames stay on the top bar for about 5 minutes after logging out or being inactive, at most. It's not much to worry about, honestly.

It's normal. That bar just lists everyone who's been online in the last 5 minutes. The 'logout' link simply deletes your login cookies from the computer you're using, but doesn't affect the activity log.
