The button cheats are correct. However, only two give me an effect (indicated by asterisk).
Button Cheats
Cheat 2: Full Energy
Pause game play and press Circle, Triangle, R1, L2, L1, X, Triangle, Circle. Resume game play for it to take effect.
Cheat 3: Nine Lives
Pause game play and press L1, Square, L2, X, L1, Square(2), R2. Resume game play for it to take effect.
Cheat 4: Suicide
Pause game play and press R1, R2, Square, L1, Circle, R2, L1, R1.
Cheat 5: Instant Money Worms
Pause game play and press X, Circle, R2, Square(2), Circle, L1, Triangle. Resume game play for it to take effect.
Cheat 6: Cheat Menu
Pause game play and press Triangle, L2, Square, L1, X, R2, Circle, R1. Various options will be available such as Cheat Mode (Invincibility), World Peace, Level Select, Sound Test, Music Test and Interlace. Press Square or Circle to toggle the options.
Cheat 7: Toggle TV Interlace*
Pause game play and press Square(8).
Cheat 8: Bright Pause Screen*
Pause game play and press Circle(8). Note: Will cause the soil to not refresh in Lorenzo's Soil.
Cheat 9: Plasma Gun
Pause game play and press R1, L1, X(2), R2, X, Triangle(2). Resume game play for it to take effect.
Cheat 10: Three-Finger Gun
Pause game play and press Triangle(2), X, Circle, Square, L1, Circle, Triangle. Resume game play for it to take effect.
Cheat 11: Bubble Gun
Pause game play and press R1, X(2), R1, Circle, Triangle, L2, Circle. Resume game play for it to take effect.
Cheat 12: Homing Missile Gun
Pause game play and press Square, L1, Circle(2), R1, X, Triangle, Circle. Resume game play for it to take effect.
Cheat 13: Mega Plasma Gun
Pause game play and press R2, L1, Square, Circle, R1, Square, L2, R2. Resume game play for it to take effect.
Cheat 14: Barn Blaster
