For me, it's more Nintendo vs Ubisoft vs 343 Industries, 343i just happens to be part of Microsoft

Ya, this game actually does look really fun in my opinion. It kind of took me by surprise when Nintendo announced it.

Meh. No Wii U price drop, or at least selling the GamePad separately to curb ebay scalpers.

I'll give props for SOME kind of meaningful Star Fox effort.

Seriously, the best game shown by Nintendo by a long shot. Shooter with a goal that isn't K/D, great personality, and squid girls.

Hyrule Warriors looks rad as hell and exactly what I want Nintendo to do all the time with established franchises of theirs, even though the new Zelda seems to do what I felt they did a good job with Wind Waker in terms of exploring a large world.

However, I do have to mention that, again, Nintendo retreaded old ground with the new Yoshi and Kirby games shown, which both look identical in terms of gameplay to previous games. I really have no reason to pick up either game because neither seems to do anything new apart from a different look. Not to mention MARIO MAKER

Overall, I don't think Nintendo won, but I don't think anyone won to be honest. Solid all around from all fronts, not counting show floor stuff.

That didn't stop me from buying the new Donkey Kong Country games. The new Donkey Kong Country games rock.

I actually felt like Nintendo won E3, not so much because of what they showed, but how they showed it.

A steady stream of new announcements and events the whole day yesterday made sure they had the spotlight on themselves at all times, I really feel like it is a great way to do E3. Huge props to them.

Also Splatoon looks really great.

You also have to consider that... you know, E3 started officially yesterday while it was just press conferences on Monday.

You can't really say they won because they had an all day event since... well, the others could not actually do so until yesterday. The event started yesterday, which is when all the others had more things to show besides what was shown at the conferences (and I'm sure I would have noticed what they announced/showed if I was home). Even Nintendo's main site and news sources show they had more games announced/planned for E3 besides what was shown at the direct.

So, like, what's going to happen to all of those NSMB hacking boards now that they're completely irrelevant?

I wouldn't quite say they're irrelevant just yet; things like warping, yoshi, overworld, bosses, etc. seem to not be in, nor star coins, so it's not quite a full NSMB editor as much as a simple level editor.

Hours and hours of gameplay has been shown since E3's start yesterday and honestly, it feels like what these sort of expo events SHOULD be.

Cutting out the 30 seconds of spectacle to actually show off gameplay. And lots of gameplay. Actually can see what most of these games are.

There's no new Advance Wars yet, though. So no E3 win yet

Yeah, only one item from my wishlist made it in (the first). But I'm still pretty satisfied with the unexpected surprises (Splatoon, Mario Maker, that Toad game!, new Star Fox, Yarn Yoshi).

Still kind of hoping for Thursday or Friday to bring some Majora's Mask announcement (or a 2D Metroid would be cool too).

Gamefaqs votes Nintendo win E3:

What do you guys think? For me this wasn't a Nintendo vs. Sony/MS thing since I don't follow them anyway, so Nintendo wins by default

I keep reading across the net that microsoft won because lots of AAA titles and sony hit the end of the barrel. How true is that?

Funny, we aren't irrelevant. I actually heard on E3 that the creator mentioned that Mario Maker is to not ne used as a level design tool, more like to have fun in it (aka challenge levels)

Also considering its really limited, I fail to see how mario maker would make us irrelevant (when hacking the main game offers much more)

Exactly. At best, Mario Maker could boost ROM hacking by getting more people interested. But I don't foresee it overshadowing the unofficial scene.

As though! Now that level editing will be in the spotlight, billions and billions of kids will flock to sites like that!

As scary as that thought is, maybe it will bring forums as a whole back.

I'm late, but my main 'list' was:

1. Ganondorf/ROB are in Smash 4 (and don't suck)
2. New Metroid game
3. New F-Zero game
4. New Star fox game
5. Something that indicates that the new Smash game is fundamentally different from Brawl on a mechanics level

And the result was that there's a half-confirmed Star Fox game--I say half mostly because, well. Don't know what it is, can't be entirely sure it's even not just another remake yet.

Needless to say, I'm going to keep waiting for the other things to be done, or at least, the conditions for me to get a Wii U are that 3 of those conditions are met.

UESCTerm 802.11 (remote override)
044 05.10.2337
The Star Fox Wii U game has been in official development since late 2013, and among the features confirmed from Shiggy is the ability to change the Arwing into a tank (Star Fox 2, anyone?) and the return of being able to fly in either first- or third-person mode. Nintendo is also possibly going to release it in an episodic format, with a number of missions available for each (at which point it would prolly be a download only series, though that's just speculation on my part). Controls are similar to Star Fox 64 3D, and most of the assets used in the E3 demo are recycled assets from both 64 3D and their earleir brainstorming efforts for a Star Fox Wii from 2008.
